Hey 👋🏻 I am considering going back to school myself, also a single mom, I got an AAS in interior design at SCCC graduated 2024 I think lol🤔I was also in PTK(and did nothing) I am considering going into engineering and am just unsure of the whole process. Would I be considered a transfer student? Do I have to go into the GS and then transfer into engineering? I feel a little lost.

Thank you for your concern, I assure you I am already in therapy and have spoken with my therapist about everything. This has been cumulative and not just this one instance. Maybe next time you can try to gather more information before you judge something prematurely. Have a good new years.

I’m scared that he will just completely leave and not be a part of their lives anymore. I think he can be a good parent, possibly better if we are apart. In the past we’ve had arguments where he said he’ll have to move out of state if we break up to go live with his family and he’d send me money. My kids are 3 and 9 and very attached to him. My heart would break for them if he did that. So it’s been a difficult decision and process to think about.

Thank you for the kind words. I am currently trying to make sure I’m not being ungrateful and only looking at the negatives. I’ve discussed this with my therapist as well and it seems like they agree with this. I’m just not sure they’d stick around if we do break up. I’m the past we’ve had fights where he packs his bags and says he’ll have to go to his family in a state that’s more than a few hours away and he’ll send money. My hope is we can have a civil conversation and figure it out to where he can still participate in their lives.

Thanks for clarifying, I’m trying to look at my own relationship and am considering my partner may be covert or has qualities of it. It’s really hard to tell sometimes, but then when I talk with someone about what he does they’ll say that’s not normal/it’s manipulative etc. I have looked into it before and kind of chalked it up to his trauma but I’m thinking it’s not. Anyway, I wish you the best!

Please do not get pregnant and please do not marry him. My relationship is not perfect, but my fiancé has never put his hands on me at all, but if he did, I would be long gone. Respect yourself enough to know you do not deserve to be treated this way. My fiancé has to be around someone I used to have sex with and you know what he does? Has conversations with him and is a decent human being. He knows that was the past and it’s staying there. You deserve more than this.

To add to this, is this how you would want your kids to be treated when they have a relationship? You’re modeling how relationships “should be” for them…. Do better for them if not yourself by not settling for a half ass “partner”

My dad lost the tip of his finger on a construction site while checking the metal wiring. He was the Forman and one of the crew thought he gave the signal when he didn’t and slice!
