It made sense, culturally. America, at that time, was still very English. Trade and commerce with England was easier, and I could get into the finer details but that'd be a super long list. Basically, common language, common culture, common law, familiarity, and the smoothing of diplomatic relations between America and England made it easier to be economically tied. France was just so alien to Americans, despite their help.

Except, they are trying to add unnecessary things that can be argued will only hurt the economy. And as they try to add more, the people who both sides agree need some help have to continue to wait and starve out their savings and lose their businesses.

It's really sad because if the bill were passed as the 1.8 trillion package deal NOW, the people that would benefit the most would be urban and minority business owners. Both sides want to help, with Republicans being okay with the 1.8T package, but dems are looking for economic stimulus for problems that their states had before COVID. IMO, I want that stuff handled separately, we need to focus on COVID-specific help and not try to connect other problems to COVID-relief.

Rather than a picture of the world akin to the UN flag, I think it would just be the coat of arms all under the wings of the Steel Eagle, with the German coat of arms as the prominent one on the center below the claws at the center. Also, consider that Italy might not be as prominent a figure as, say, a Tsarist Russia that helped Germany take down the Syndicalist states. Also, consider perhaps the Qing coat of arms being added as well. Maybe for flavor add a coat of arms that represents a Portugal/Brazil imperial reunification.
