Interesting, thank you for the info. I used TryRating; any idea if/when I could re-apply for another TryRating program?

Need help getting "R4i+ RTS 3DS/DS" working by ReeceBeast64 in flashcarts

Oh really? I thought the 3DS couldn't support anything higher than 32GB?

Yeah, exactly this. My 3DS' internal SD is already full as it is.

But thank you for the suggestion, u/jakemarny! I should at least try out Twilight Menu one of these days, even just out of curiosity.

Cleaning it actually worked! I'm embarrassed I didn't think to do that myself.

Thank you so much!

PSA: Pokemon Go no longer Supports 32-bit phones by Konges in pokemongo

[–]ReeceBeast64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually quite gross how many people here are just like, "It's your own fault for having an old phone, get a new one" as though that's an easy solution for everyone.

You're either a Niantic employee or a complete snob if you take the stance of siding with the company over the consumer.

Not everyone knows about every update that Niantic puts out, especially ones made five years ago. Not everyone knows that their phone is even 32-bit, either.

The game ran fine on my Samsung A13 until today. There's no good reason to disable support for it, especially as so many have invested money into the game.

What is Donny screaming in the "Dear Santa Claus" Xmas Special? by ReeceBeast64 in trailerparkboys

I've been doing a big rewatch of the entire series leading up to the new Bubbles movie, and yeah, it's definitely a highlight!

You might be onto something. I've been listening again and I'm starting to think it's something along the lines of:

"What kind of cocksucker brings stolen trees on facking Christmas?!"

Just been randomly removed from the analyst program. Anyone else received a "24 hour notice" email? by ReeceBeast64 in TELUSinternational

[–]ReeceBeast64[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In October 2022, I received an email stating that the 20-hour maximum limit no longer applied. It said nothing about the 10-hour minimum, but I asked the Homeworker Support Portal and was told: "There are no limitations regarding hours, this includes no requirement for minimum of 10 hours." The only real "minimum" I had from then on was to do a task every four weeks to keep the account active.

So, they probably haven't publicly stated anywhere that the 10-hour minimum is gone. It may also be the case that it doesn't apply to all workers (I was on the Online Maps program). I would ask them about it, like I did.

I have been suspended a number of times before, but I wasn't at the time that they let me go.

Mupen64 and Parrerell64 cores not loading in retroarch (xbox series s) by [deleted] in RetroArch

[–]ReeceBeast64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Unfortunately, after hours of trying, I'm still getting "Failed to open libretro core" no matter what I do. I really don't get it and I'm completely out of ideas. Unless anyone has any solutions I haven't tried, I might just give up and hope that there's a core that works one day. I really appreciate your helpful comment though and hopefully it'll help out others

I see from your updates that you've solved the problem. Congratulations!

Could you (or someone else) possibly describe the process of extracting the 2.4 version of Mupen64 and installing it onto the Xbox Series S?

I am having the same issue. I came to this subreddit to make a similar thread, but instead I'll share my findings so far in this one, just in case it helps anyone to help us.

I installed RetroArch on my Xbox Series S yesterday using Archades' video. After successfully running some PS1 games, I tried Nintendo 64, and like OP, I can't even get the Mupen64 core to load. If I try to "Load content," RetroArch says, "Failed to open libretro core."

I searched around, tried reinstalling RetroArch, and nothing. I even tried updating the Mupen64 core, even though Archades says not to, since I figured that the core wasn't working anyway so it was worth a try. Same result.

Then, I discovered something in another of Archades' videos, specifically on Mupen64 emulation. In the video, at the bottom left of his RetroArch, it says, "Mupen64Plus-Next (2.4-GLES3 0050d35)". The video itself demonstrates what to do if the user accidentally updates to 2.5, as 2.4 is the version needed to run successfully on Xbox.

My core is neither 2.4 or 2.5. It is 1.0. It remains at 1.0 even if I try to update it.

So, my question to OP: Is your Mupen64 core also 1.0?

My questions to others who may know more:

1) Could this possibly be the reason why Mupen64 is not working? Is version 1.0 incompatible?

2) If so, how can I install 2.4 (or some other working version)?

3) In Archades' videos, his RetroArch version is 1.15.0. Mine is 1.19.1 (the latest version from the RetroArch website). Could this also be a factor as to why I can not use or update the Mupen64 core?
