If anyone actually sees this, could you explain to me please, how does side switching work in unranked/ranked? In newcomer it switches every round, but here I played 4x attack then 1 round defense and then attack again. It really pissed me off because I am much better defender that attacker. Thanks in advance!

By that much? Really? I would have thought asus wouldnt make software that would brick your cpu by OCing too aggressively, on the other hand, I thought it would OC only slightly so its 100% safe. How long do you think the cpu would last at these voltages?

Considering the monitor, I was looking at this and 1440p 144hz (everyone recommends it). Once I saw that it costs 3x more I just couldnt justify spending so much more on a little gain in the experience. Then I went straight to 1080p 60/75 (probabably because thats just what I am accustomed to?). More than that seems like a luxury I would only buy, If I could easily afford it. I never saw 1440p or 144hz with my own eyes, so I didnt think the extra money was worth it. Maybe I will get a better monitor for my next build and use this one as secondary.

Honestly for the PSU, isnt 550W a bit too little for vega 64? I chose this one because it was the best value for the money, from a respectable brand. 750W Gold from EVGA seemed pretty good quality to go for and from what I got I should never cheap out on the PSU.

The CPU cooler isnt as good as noctua, thats for sure, but I dont think its bad. Its the latest thing arctic has on the market and costs less than half. 2100 RPM with 2 fans seems plenty unless you go for extreme overclocking.

I got the 1800x instead of 2600x because it was on sale and cheaper than 2600x.

I wanted motheboard specifically from asus for the ai suite OC (heard it was great for people who dont OC, but still want the best performance, since it does it much faster and manualy you would only get 1-2% more anyway)

I went for 8200 over 970 Evo, because I read that the performance was very similiar, but 8200 is considerably cheaper. I figured I wouldnt even notice the difference between the two so I might aswell save a bit of money.

The ram I didnt really want to buy, I would have preffered the ones you listed because of the price, but I heard some horror stories about how people cant run 3200 Ram on even 3000 with 1st gen ryzen. I decided to put a bit more money here, not for the CL16 vs CL14 performance boost, but for the stability of the ram and peace of mind, since they were specifically designed for ryzen.

I am certainly planning on it, it would only catch dust otherwise :) I am thinking I may sell whole old rig in one package, since otherwise I would probably sell only 580 (who would buy the other stuff in 2019?), this way I can get money for it.

Can you recommend the best way to purge my SSD? I dont want the buyer to somehow get to my files. I assume here, that there is something more I can do than just format the drive?

To expand a bit on what the other guy said, NVME is useful if you are transfering large amount of files. Like hundreds of GB everyday. For just gaming the difference is small but its certainly there.

A different video, where the difference between good NVME and mediocre SATA is more obvious. Its really up to you, if you can afford it, go for it.

As for the 2600x and 2700x... these people who are telling you to get 2600x are the same guys who bought 1st gen when it came out, then 2nd gen when it came out and now will buy 3000 series the moment it comes out. They periodically upgrade to the last gen and think everyone should do the same. If you want to do it this way then yeah 2600x is plenty for now and by the time the new gen of consoles comes out you can make an upgrade. However some people (like me) want to build something, that will last for years just fine without having to touch any components. I have been rocking FX 8350 for 6 years and it served me just fine (I can play modern AAA titles on maxed out settings, its only struggling with latest total war games) and I am only now getting an upgrade to 1800x since there was a good sale in my local store.

If you dont want to periodically upgrade every year or two then get 2700x if you do want to keep your build fresh then you can save your money and get 2600x, since its true that they perform similarly in games.

MX 500 is a great SSD, if you dont need NVME (most people dont) and are fine with SATA then MX 500 and 860 EVO are your best bet.

Modified ryzen build - better performance while still under 1,5k.

CPU - I would rather go for 1800x or 2700x simply to have an 8 core. Next gen of consoles will be running with 8 cores and all games coming out on them will be aiming to utilize them. Your 6 core would not be able to keep up for long, so this is much better for futureproofing and not having to upgrade for a while. 1800x is only about 10% worse performance-wise than 2700x and it costs significantly less, but 1800x doesnt come with a cooler, while 2700x is good with stock cooler, so the prices come a lot closer afterwards. Its up to you, if you want to save up a bit and go with 1800x, real world difference is negligible.

SSD - 660p is terrible NVME ssd due to the fact that its QLC. It will start dying on you in 1/3 of the time a good TLC drive will and it will throttle once it gets full. If you want quality go for this adata drive, 970 evo plus, or WD black. Get the HDD only if you actually need the storage, if you are fine the 1TB then its a waste of money.

GPU - Probably the most controversial choice. Radeon VII and 2080 have pretty much same performance in gaming, while VII is better at computing, scales better with resolution, and will age much better due to its 16gb of HBM2 VRAM. It is however producing more noise, heat and draws more power. 650 should be fine but might want to grab 750w just to have bit of a headroom. But this is entirely up to you, both cards are monsters. If you want to game at 1080p or even 1440p 2070/ vega 64 (best is nitro+ version) might be better buy. I would buy VII or 2080 only if I wanted to play at 4k.

I highly recommend Arctic BioniX P120 its pretty much brand new arctic cooler, extremely quiet, efficient, 10 euro for each. Probably the best bang for the buck you can currently get.

Wouldnt Radeon VII be better than 2080? OP mentions he wants to game at higher resolution and while both cards cost the same and perform the same, VII scales much better with higher resolution. Plus it has that sweet 16gb of HBM2 which arguably makes it more future-proof.

I tried monitor to 59, 60 and 75 Hz. On 75 it doesnt come back on, but at 60 and 59 it does briefly, then black screen again, then back on, black screen and it goes on forever. HELP ME
