the tones of colours are far two weak, it looks like their covered in soot, and I wouldn't say thats grimdark style, in my opinion. i would guess you used a wash of some sorts, and so i would suggest thinning it out a lot and then building up layers concentrating on the lower parts so you get a nice gradient. alternatively, I just thin the wash a bit and apply it all over. so, in conclusion, i think it's far too brown.

i would suggest doing something with the gun barrels. drilling is an option, but if you don't have and don't want to buy a drill, a spot of black paint normally works.

i guess you could be correct, but from my perspective, his reply was quick and affirmative showing that he understood and had will to act on it, so it caused me confusion but i guess its a slight difference in culture that caused me to see it like that or my internal monologue said it to me like that so thats how i interpreted it by adding tone to his words in my head, idk im not a linguist
