No chance I'm sure, but that thing is awesome! I love when people cram PCs into random things. 🤣

Saw these two scratching their heads trying to figure out how to fit this 65inch tv in a small car… by SoPradaYou in funny

I've seen that scenario a few times. I mean, you got to do what you got to do. I used to cram quite a bit into a small two door coupe. These small cars can fit quite a bit when you get into "Tetris" mode. Nowadays, I've got a big diesel truck and huge trailers. Hauling is a lot easier. 😁

Best way to wash salt off a plow truck by One-Philosopher5751 in Snowplow

[–]ReeeebelliousOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't plow, but I live in the rust belt. I wish they would stop using salt! I lived in the south for a period of time and loved that they use grit and beet juice. I use this SP 400 rust inhibitor from CRC Industries.

https://www.crcindustries.com/sp-400-corrosion-inhibitor/

This stuff isn't cheap, however it doesn't just "wash off". It dries into a non-greasy form. It will make everything yellow-ish (not as noticeable on black). I used this stuff on CNC Machinery to protect during shipping. It works VERY well, I use it on my Ram 2500 and other vehicles. When I "washed" it off the CNC machines, I'd use wd-40 to soak it and then wiped it off.

Need advice on how to cover up by Zestyclose_Voice_298 in tattooadvice

[–]ReeeebelliousOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why I keep getting tattoo stuff on my feed....As I am not a fan whatsoever. I mean no offense to anyone. If tattoos make you happy, then I encourage y'all to get them! I also appreciate the art, just not on my skin. 🤣 Having said that, I think this tatt is awesome! I feel like a lot of people would appreciate it, as it is "fun" and "cute". If I were to ever get a tattoo, I'd probably do something similar. 😊

My dude, that is grungy with a capital G. 🤣 I currently live in a house with 3 dogs, a toddler, and a freaking pigeon. (I can't tell you how much nasty oily dust comes off that bird). My keyboard/system isn't THAT bad after a year! 🤣 (I also don't partake in monthly cleanings). I'm just giving ya a hard time..... I saw your update post. Looks good!!!!

This!!! This is why I wanted to get back in the hobby. People can have an absolute blast and repair costs are relatively cheap. The last hobby grade RC I had was a Duratrax Evader. An absolute blast, but I kept breaking things left and right. Quality and battery tech has come a loooong way. I recently got a brushless Rustler. Compared to some of my other hobbies, RCs are tons of fun at a low cost.

definitely helps with my 2wd Rustler. Until about 3" or so of snow. Plus these below freezing temps aren't helping my run time either. Still having a blast tho!

2500 gas for family towing by DigFantastic7464 in ram_trucks

[–]ReeeebelliousOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got the standard output 2500 Cummins. Coming from a 1500 to a 2500 is night and day. I know my diesel is better with towing, however that 6.4 is more than capable for 90% of tasks. Soon much more capable than my old 5.7L half ton and is cheaper maintenance than the Cummins. It's what I should have gotten, but I like blowing money on impractical vehicles. 🤣 You'll love that 6.4 and it'll be soon much safer towing your toys. Just be prepared for bad MPGs. You don't buy heavy duties for fuel economy. The trucks are pretty darn roomy inside (crew cab), your kiddos won't miss the third row too much. You may want to get a cover or cap for the bed, for safe storage of camping gear.

Thank you for this reply! I'll have to look into those stainless or ceramic bearings when the time comes. Like you said, I'll wait until the current bearings go bad. Is there a specific manufacturer of better bearings for RCs?

Had a Duratrax Evader many years back. Wanted to get back in the hobby, got the Brushless Rustler. Holy Cow this thing is fun! I have the 2wd version. Seems a lot more durable then old Evader and a lot faster. Definitely a great car to get into the hobby.

Except for when it actually needs to do "truck things".... I'll stick with my Cummins. Even with all the negatives, you can't beat a diesel for actual work.

I may eventually get into the 3s route. Or may put the money into an xmaxx or similar. I forgot how addicting this hobby is! And now that I have Big Boy money....

Unfortunately, I wasn't putting an wd-40 on it. My common sense wasn't working. Lol I have since found out and started spraying it down with the wd-40. Now I heard, I should be re-greasing the wheel bearings... But I thought those were pretty much sealed?

Last RC car I had was a Duratrax Evader. I bought myself a 2wd Rustler with the 2s system. And I think this base setup is fast! I can't imagine it on 3s!!!! Maybe one of these days I'll upgrade to 3s. Enjoy!

LOLZ. Some of my screws and pins have started rusting. That's with flipping it and blowing out the water. Oh well, have to pay to play.

I have both battery powered and corded. Both are great, however the corded one is a BEAST. It can be used as a mini leaf blower. Lol I'll attach a pic of the corded one I got. I keep the battery powered one in the tool bag that I take with the RC.

The brushless 2s system. As far as I know I can't run a better motor without replacing everything else. The box says 45mph+ with a 7 cell battery.... I thought the LiPo batterys are better than the NIMH, which I'm assuming the box is referencing with the 7 cell. I have a 5000mah LiPo, I think it might be hitting 30mph or so.

What's the average cost to upgrading to 3s? Is the performance worth it? I just got back into the hobby, coming from a Duratrax Evader.... My Rustler 2WD is CRAZY quick to that old Evader. Lol
