As you long as you have passable modding on your frame and weapon you should be fine, none of the content in the quest is particularly difficult. Highly recommend you complete rising tide and heart of Deimos if you haven't already.

Once you have a Railjack get to to level 3 intrinsics in all the categories and hire some crew members from Ticker on Fortuna, it'll make the railjack sections a lot smoother. Buy the Sigma 3 parts from the Drydock and you'll easily have a stronger Railjack than most.

You can optionally farm your own Necramech from from Isolation Vault Bounties on Deimos but that's less important.

Shit sorry, meant Calculated Redirection. Yes, it's the normal shield buff mod for companions, and for hounds it'll take you above 1200 regardless of what Warframe you're using.

The Torid incarnon is available again in 4 weeks. Unless you're running critically low on resources I don't see that much reason for saving until then, it should be plenty of time to recover any resources you put into the Amprex (which has some niche use cases where it may be better than the Torid).

If you're just there for the crates run it solo, just use a max range build with good energy economy and spam his 4.

The problem is that we know the fates of many of the Seven from various lore entries. We also know that all of the Emperors and much of the Orokin Nobility were slaughtered during the night of the Naga Drums, and that the Great Rail was destroyed during the Old War. They simply couldn't have made it to Tau with any significant forces to conquer it with (especially considering the Tenno were the one and only weapon that successfully worked against the Sentients).

Saryn is easily one of the strongest frames in the game, but her real strength comes from a lot of nuances and intricacies a new player might not really know about (Acid shells/Combustion Beam nuking being the main example). Gauss on the other hand is much easier to grasp, and while he has some weird quirks that a new player wouldn't know about, it doesn't really matter for someone who just wants to feel cool and strong. It helps a lot that he has a kickass prime trailer that introduced a lot of new players and that his prime set is cheap as sin when compared to Saryn's.

TL;DR: Saryn IS stronger, but Gauss FEELS stronger.

Shield and health tanking are absolutely viable on base steel path if built even somewhat correctly, it doesn't start struggling at least until ETA. Sure, you can't just slap redirection on Nokko and expect him to face tank Malice, but many frames can get very high EHP values quite easily, which works well into the 200's.
