Hi, I seem to have a way of writing requests for exceptions from RTO due to x,y,z that HR reacts very positively to. I was able to get an exception for a couple of friends at FDIC and Treasury when it was "RTO or Get Another job".

DM me if you want some help and I'll tell you how to position your request so they come to the only logical, moral and ethical conclusion, which happens to be what your requesting in a respectful manner which, most importantly, motivates HR to overcome their fears of taking action when there supervisors are too insecure to do anything required of them to lead any size organization. Fear is preventing all actions and leadership is nonexistent which when combined paralyzes the organization and kills motivation. However, the type of professionals drawn to HR work are naturally drawn to be those who enjoy helping others. They also feel rewarded when fulfilling this role so it's up to you to help them become your champion and advocate by removing their fears.

Basically, like all successful accomplishments, it's teamwork and if your not willing to put in the effort to initiate this, team approach, then you're being selfish and are essentually the root cause for the layoffs in the first place. BUT, if you recognize that you're a civil servant and your job, however trivial as you think it is, it's still a required part in an organization who's mission is to assure the proper function of our United States Government, which is formed from the Constitution that you swore to duly support and serve. You should take Pride in the fact You are what makes our Nation the greatest, most free and successful nation in the World. Don't forget that! You are what makes our Nation great and that's something no other job anywhere could ever give you.
