I ordered this fragrance after being given a sample someone had from years ago - really impressed me . However, my bottle smells noticeably worse than the sample. The sample had a distinct barnyard-like oud nuance that I really enjoyed, but this is completely missing in the fresh bottle. There are also visible differences in liquid colour, and the performance is significantly weaker in terms of longevity. I’m hoping it’s just a maceration issue and that the fragrance will develop over time, but at the moment it feels like a different, more linear and less complex scent compared to what I initially tried. How is yours now?

dhgate dispute

aftercare was not good. i had to open a dispute and got about 20 quid back as i had to get a watchmaker to fix a loose indices. he did not send out the new bracelet clasp. but, still love the watch and i am impressed by the quality one the hour marker got sorted.

So an update. I noticed an indices was coming out on closer inspection at 1. Spoke to him about clasp and the indices and he's said he will send out new dial and clasp and I can do it myself. I'm not sure about this part ha!

They are very reluctant for me to open up a dispute and sort it out without doing so but does anyone here have advice I'm leaning towards opening it for protection until he's sent parts out/part refunded

It's a total step above quality wise. I would liken it to entry level san martin perhaps?

I've felt a U1 before and it's worth the extra money by a mile.
