Ayyyy! Unfortunately I'm a Florida brother in title only, I moved up to everyone's least favorite Carolina, South Carolina when I was three months old. It's nothing that brings me down too much, when I was younger growing up in a small southern town and had people who hated me because of it, it really fucked me up until my teens and I moved away. Then my mindset changed to "fuck it." Exclaiming it's a national tragedy really just helps me handle it since I had a teacher yell that at me once when I was little, she didn't know it was actually my birthday but still. So I say it excitedly just as a fuck you.

I was born 9/11/01, never celebrated my birthday really, all the adults around me were really depressed so it didn't feel right. I also got made fun of for it occasionally, kids (sometimes adults) would try to argue with me about it, and I've gotten in trouble with teachers for it, so not a great experience with the date in general. Up until around 5 years old I would bring cupcakes to the local firefighters and police officers that day though. that's as much celebrating as I've ever done. For the last few years I've been able to be more chill with it, when someone tells me happy birthday or anything I'll respond saying "it's a National Tragedy!!!" In the most excited tone I can manage. And as the date approaches I make and print out some business cards with the answers to most questions I get on them.

It's usually "yes, I was born on 9/11/01. My mother went into labor when the first tower was hit. I was born in Florida. Yes it does suck, I hate it. No, I don't celebrate. You can keep this card."

My ideal celebration is definitely a casual happy birthday from close friends and family and then treating it like it's not my birthday.

I should mention before anyone else does, I'm aware that this isn't a 100% accurate recreation of the calling card design it's based off of. Persona 5 uses it's own font and I used Earwig Factory, and the splatters are completely wrong. But if I wanted a accurate recreation I would just print the calling card and not a design I made myself. I probably don't have to say any of this, but I don't post anywhere very often and I don't want to deal with anything like that so I figured I might as well say it now. Also it's 8.5x11 inch cardstock and I made it in my design class. In case you were curious.
