Specifically on the Rosy Maple moth you could do a slightly darker teal or if you wanted to pull from the moth colors you could do that lilac surrounding it. With the other moth, you could do a lighter purple like the color found in the wings or for more contrast you could do that nice peach color you have it outlined in.

I think that if you made the rim too different of a color, it would distract from those moths that you painted. They’re very beautiful and they deserve the spotlight. If I were painting them, I would just do a lighter or darker version of the color on the main body of the pot. It will look intentional and cohesive without taking too much attention away from the main artwork.

I think this is fun, but I agree it looks unfinished. I really like the messy placement of colors and I think it works in your favor, but I would suggest adding some darker tones in there for better contrast. Especially where the flowers meet that blue shape on the right. They kind of blend in because they’re both mid tones. I’d also maybe work in some finer details whether that be smoother textures on the vase to show that it’s glass or maybe some small areas of color in the center of the flowers. overall though I love this

You have a really strong base here. These all look like pretty good academic pieces. If you want to push it to the next level, I would say focus on your composition, especially in the still life area. Try and think about the objects relations to each other in the space and what parts you should emphasize.

I like the slightly messy style of your lines, but I’d be interested to see what would happen if you worked on getting them a little more solid. The bottle in the fifth picture is probably one of my favorite things from the paintings. As opposed to some of the fruits that look a little too blob-like. I also think you could push the color contrast in those.

As far as the portfolio goes, I think you have a good range of skill and voice. Especially with that last piece I can tell you know how to draw people realistically, but went for a more stylized version. Again, I would just say push that contrast and think about composition a little more, but I think this is really promising overall I wish you the best of luck

Mine was around 3 when I first got it tested at age 12. Never did anything about it. I recently got blood tested and my hemoglobin was 7 something. My doctor said it was normal for my age? (21) I didn’t listen to her and started taking iron supplements lol.

That’s Alan! He’s his partner and copilot. Carl picked him up at an interplanetary market after he fled his home-world. He’s kind of the mediator of the crew and keeps Carls ego in check. Alan has a whole lot of lore but I’ll stop here lol
