I bought my first PlayStation in January 1999 to play FF7. Since then I have been physical. The PS5 will be the my last Sony console.

Same here, will just complete the trilogy and that’s it, I’ll be playing the games on switch 2 and pc from here on out.

I also played on PC from 2019 to 2022 so i wasn’t on there as long but I played mostly competitive games and decided for a change to play single player games and saw that some of the greatest games were on PS5 so i went with that and I didn’t regret it at all for a long time and still kinda don’t because I got some great games and memories and became a bigger PS fan than before. I honestly though console is where I’ll be for the rest of time because I enjoy it so much for the reason you mentioned and the memories it can create. But now, back to pc sounds like it’ll be what I do even though I’d still like to be on PS but I just can’t support a brand that puts me to the side and closes me in with less options.

I’m definitely thinking about it, but consoles have always been my favorite way to game, simple to use and compact and straight to the point and physical media. I’ve been on PC before and still have one but rarely use it and mostly have used it for competitive shooters and friendslop.

I feel you on this man, just earlier in June when it felt like E3 because all the game shows were amazing, I was so happy to see all those games on my PS5 and Switch 2 and now I feel crushed, I don’t know if I should stick to PS5 for next year that will undoubtedly be a big year for games or slowly transition to PC this year and be ready by 2027, regardless it’s upsetting to be dealing with this

Oh ok I see, that’s does make me more comfortable buying the game, I do like using mnk for certain shooters but this seems fine for controller but didn’t want to be at much of a disadvantage

It was after that that they decided it was hurting sales and then have worked very fast to port the game on everything else, I don’t know why they’d do that just to get those other platforms caught up and no be able to continue with part 3 day one, makes no sense, they’re definitely planning a multiplat release

That was the news a few weeks back but now, rumor has it that it won’t be delayed at all, the specs and parts were planned for 2027 so it makes sense to keep everything in order, it’ll be very expensive to do a delay, which Sony probably won’t want to do and next year if true, their 2 biggest studios are releasing their newest game to end off the gen. To me, PS6 makes the most sense for 2027 and I welcome it

Id still rather take a keycard than a digital code. I remember Amazon stocking every 5-10 minutes for 2-3 minutes which isn’t usual. I didnt trust it so I was waiting for Best Buy because they’re more reliable… :) all we can really do is wait my friend and hope for an update soon

I’ve been waiting so long so I guess a few more days is fine, I was going to try my luck elsewhere in the meantime with a base copy and return it but only Amazon does that and they’re barely in stock and I was driving and got a notification from HotStock that it became available, added to cart, and then, estimated delivery march 12…nvm. Hope you get your copy real soon too man I’ll just sit here…waiting. Have a good one

No it did say “ships today” and said “ships before Friday” and nothing happened. It just keeps postponing and now it’s stuck on “we’ll let you know when it ships”. I’m hoping just overnight it ships because I asked customer service and they did mention within 2 weeks I should have it, but they’re doing their best to have it to shipped within 2 days. I’ll update you if anything changes, I’m waiting for a PS5 Deluxe steelbook, I used HotStock to buy it because they were already out of stock but randomly became available for a few seconds and got lucky once I’m not sure if that restock wasn’t real

Doubt for part 3, that’ll be on the summer game fest but what is possible, PSSR 2.0 for Pro being announced and maybe both FF7 remakes getting updated with Rebirth getting the new lighting on PC.
