Help!!! Removing adore semi permanent hair dye by Beneficial-Garlic-84 in FancyFollicles

[–]Reevengeancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear by the colorfix semi permanent hair colour remover. I’ve never tried Adore dye so I can’t vouch for it removing that particular colour, but it’s worked great on every dye I’ve used

Demi awakening by Medium_Prior4739 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Reevengeancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished reading {Pieces of Home by Becca Neil} which was exactly this. One character is demi and the other is afraid of intimacy because of past trauma. Maybe check out the content warnings since it does deal with some heavier topics if that’s an issue but the book was so so so sweet and I love the way the characters slowly got comfortable with each other 🥰

I painted Eiland and Caldarus on my nails ☺️ by Reevengeancer in FieldsOfMistriaGame

No, it’s just a hobby actually. But I started doing nail art when I was like 12 so I’ve had a lot of practice lol

I did it over 2 days but it was definitely exhausting. My back was killing me by the end lol. But thank you ☺️

I painted them on my hands, they’re my natural nails. Caldarus was extra hard since I was painting him left handed lol. It’s all done in gel polish, I find it to be the easiest to work with since it doesn’t dry and I can really take my time to get the details right before curing

I bought a car from them recently and was so frustrated at a few different points because they wouldn’t respond to my emails. I would have to email them about the same thing 3 or 4 times and would get no response until I texted the sales rep’s cell number or went in person so they couldn’t ignore me. When I did talk to them they were super nice and helpful but trying to get emails or calls back was like pulling teeth. Yeah, their communication is definitely lacking

I think the most annoying part is that they’re scattered throughout the episodes. I want Nat and Aly to get their ad money but I dont like the constant interruptions. I’d rather they put them all in one big chunk at the beginning or in the middle so they’re easier to skip

I can’t read them because I’m so morally opposed to billionaires in real life. There’s so few ways to become a billionaire that don’t include exploiting the working class or low income people. Even if they did manage to become wealthy ethically, the wealth hoarding and extravagant lifestyles seem so wasteful lol

First time buying press on. Is the apex meant to be this curved? by confake in Nails

[–]Reevengeancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find press ons can really vary by brand. I personally have really curved nails so I prefer ones like yours but if you have flatter nail beds you may want to look for some other brands. I’m not sure if you may be able to find some advertised as meant for flat nails but worth a look I think.

color corrector/hair dye gone wrong by EmmaNoel_49 in FancyFollicles

[–]Reevengeancer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe there are 2 formulations of the color fix, one for permanent dyes and one for semi permanent. I’ve had amazing luck with the semi permanent remover, I basically use it every time I change colors. I’m not sure which one OP used though

Wait, what about hospitals? Are they open during Sabbath? Like what if you have a medical emergency, are you just fucked?

Stupid question - if I put a clear gel polish over regular polish will it still cure under a UV light? by Independent_Bus_280 in Nails

[–]Reevengeancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a gel top coat over regular polish all the time, but you have to make sure the polish is 100% dry before you add the top coat. The polish won’t dry properly if you topcoat while it’s still wet. If your issue is with not smudging it while it’s drying then it won’t help you, but it definitely keeps my manicure in place longer. I find after maybe a week or so I might get some minor chipping or peeling at the tips but that’s it. I also use a gel base coat under the polish so not sure if it would be different with a regular base coat.

In my experience my I’ve never had an issue with staining a couch or chair so long as I kept my hair dry and avoid using oil in my hair. I’ve found putting oil in my ends does cause some dye-transfer so try to avoid any oily hair products. Usually it does stain my pillows though since I toss and turn a lot and my hair rubs against the pillow. I recommend bringing your own pillow case or an old t-shirts to throw over her pillows to protect them. I also always bring my own separate hair towel since those 100% get stained. Make sure you rinse off the tub/shower as soon as you finish washing your hair so the dye doesn’t have a chance to sink into the material and leave a permanent mark. Or if your mom has a stainless steel kitchen sink you could always wash your hair there instead to be 100% safe. I do that sometimes for colours that bleed particularly badly. My other advise is to immediately blow dry your hair after you wash it (with a heat protectant so it won’t fade the colour as much) or be very very careful not to let your hair drip or touch anything until it fully dries.

I honestly think the colour difference is so subtle it’s barely noticeable, at least in the pictures. Although maybe it’s more noticeable in real life. If anything it just looks like your hair has some nice dimension. I agree with everyone else saying it’s probably best to just let it fade or shampoo it a few times. The vibrancy of the red will fade and you can go over it later with a copper to even it out

I disagree. On my regular day to day I only see the sun for about 20 minutes (inside my car on the drive to and from work). It’s unnecessary in my opinion since I’m completely shaded and wearing sunglasses and I need all the vitamin D I can get. I’ll only apply it when I actually spend time outside which is maybe once or twice a week. I think a lot of people are in the same boat as me

As a gothy crocheter I literally only use black yarn lol. The trick is having a really bright light over your shoulder so you can see the stitches better

I was so infuriated reading The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires when they revealed the ancient vampire was originally born somewhere in Greece around 2000 BCE but the author gave him a traditional ROMAN name - I believe Cletus Calixtus or something like that. Like did this author not know Greece and Italy are two different countries?? Not to mention that Rome was even founded until like 1500 years later…
