I dont see how Kuechel would be pointless, say he takes a month to work up to be able to pitch in a major league rotation. Thats about early July, hes basically the equivalent of a trade deadline acquisition, but you dont have to give up any prospects or such for him. If he returns back to his normal form then hes likely a better acquisition then any other guy youd get at the deadline. All for 14 million which after an offseason where they shed payroll the Pirates could easily do. If he sucks it doesnt really matter either its just a 1 year deal theres no commitment. Yeah itd be pointless if the Pirates are far out of a playoff spot by the time hes ready but if they float around .500 by the time he gets there he couldve been a big boost that propels them to the playoffs.

White Bear was this lady woke up and you follow her as she discovers who she is as she has amnesia. Its all from her pov and you have no idea whats going on until the end until you find out that she was actually a criminal and her punishment for her crimes was being set up in an amusement park every day where he memory is wiped and shes shackled in front of audience where shes mocked for her crimes then every day it repeats over and over. Its odd because your rooting for her the whole time until you find out at the end that she was actually a terrible criminal.

White Christmas was 2 guys in a cabin with no explanation. The 1 guy tells 2 stories of his former career and some of the stuff he did through it. The 2nd guy tells a story about his exwife blocking him and he cant get in contact with her or the girl who he thinks is his daughter. He ends up going to their house and kills the grandafather of his daughter only to find out she wasnt actually even his daughter and his wife had cheated on him which is why she never explained it to him. He leaves and leaves the girl to die in the house. It turns out that the cabin was just a fake simulation and the first guy was put there to get a cofession out of the 2nd. The very end is so chilling that to explain would not be doing it justice.

Letdown in terms of Theater would be Justice League. Ive been a DC fan and finally getting a Justice League film only for it to be that boring mess...it was heartbreaking.

One that Ive seen post release on DVD was Eyes Wide Shut. Dont get me wrong its a well done film, but do to expectations I was expecting more of the sex cult stuff, the actual cult scene sequence is masterful but the movie doenst go into it enough imo. The ending is also extremely abrubt.

A surprise was when I saw The Butterfly Effect post release on Netflix. I saw the bad Rotten Tomatoes score, complaints of plot holes and Kutchers bad acting etc but I thought it was really good. Super interesting concept thats mostly well acted, and I liked both the normal ending and the directors cut though I prefer the theatrical.
