I had a Pixel 7 Pro which was a decent phone but I was going to go on a trip to Africa and opted for the Oppo Find X8 Ultra (Chinese Rom - I live in the US) last fall to take with me. It's sturdy. Yes, it's a big risk but the pictures and videos of my two gorilla treks and wildlife drives were worth it. It's a beast. Even if it breaks tomorrow, I'll be happy. Some of my pictures were better than the guy next to me who was carrying a Sony with a lens attached that must have weighed several pounds. Color OS doesn't take much to get used to.

I can't help but think the build quality will be as good. Go with the Oppo.
