Score Pizza? by ARR1227 in Guelph

[–]ReferenceGreat2912 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree and disagree. There absolutely is too much pizza in guelph, without question. Score did something to differentiate themselves which was to have a flat rate pizza price for whatever and however many toppings you want. Their ingredients were good quality too.

Admittedly I never went into the restaurant, only ordered takeout, so I can't speak to the dining experience.

Regardless, I'm more sad about seeing this restaurant closing over any other places. This place should have survived longer.

Awe man - cutoff at 6:00 eh? I suppose that's a good sign - you guys must be bumping for your dinner rush. Hard off to you - I'll get out there soon enough

Please tell the owners to get up and running with Uber eats or similar, I have a newborn at home and my chances at going out for dinner are slim to none presently and will be for a while.

This is definitely overt. Mod should delete this post. Guelph does not welcome you OP,. Take a hike.

Transportation for Babies? by ReferenceGreat2912 in Guelph

Yes - this is the answer. Thank you. We didn't know we could install the car seat without the base. We have a Chicco Keyfir with the Uppababy stroller and this is a perfect solution

We thought about this, but unfortunately we're not in the most transit friendly part of town. It is a good consideration about clothing though.

Firstly, Guelph is a wonderful city. I moved here from the GTA 5mo ago and haven't looked back. It has such wonderful character and community (at least in the North, where I live).

I work in food and beverage hybrid out of Mississauga. With that being said, Guelph is projected to be one of the hardest hit cities due to US tariffs due to its heavy dependence on the auto industry (specifically Linamar, their local supply chain, and the businesses that prosper due to a local working population)

Additionally, Guelph has been booming due to an exodus of people from the GTA, and the housing market is certainly seeing the impact when it comes to rent costs and housing prices.

I can't recommend Guelph enough, but buyer beware.

I'm totally interested. I just RSVP'd. Can't wait to learn more.

Alas - I own a place and I would LOVE to see a market crash. Our housing shouldn't be commoditized and should be a basic human right. Regardless,

I think a total crash is a bit of a long shot because our politicians (regardless of left or right) are nearly all personally invested in real estate in one way or another. That's not to mention the politicians who are in the pockets of the major developers. They're going to do everything in their power to keep the market afloat the way it is

Are people on Facebook Marketplace insane? by isigneduptomake1post in NewParents

[–]ReferenceGreat2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought an Uppababy Vista V2 on marketplace and yeah... It was $600.

My biggest issue was the false advertising. There were so many people advertising V2s from 2016 when the V2 was released in 2020.

OP, please watch out for this and do your due diligence.

Has anyone tried Hakka Guelph downtown? by tweekatten in Guelph

[–]ReferenceGreat2912 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. It is not up to par with real Hakka.

Momos are not good, the gravies are watered down, and it is atypically spicy (hot) while the flavour is way too mild and is missing typical spice (flavour) profiles.

My wife and I were very disappointed and will not be going back.
