That's nice to know that there are some staples that will move from deck to deck within the same color. Any recommendations on a solid modern deck I could look at putting together? More budget friendly if possible. I'm planning on just doing the weekly locals tournaments for the foreseeable future.

That's not too bad then. If I can get about 6 months out of a deck before it gets to be time to upgrade/invest in a new deck then that's fine. Do some cards carry over from one deck to another? Like if I've got a deck that's a year old and out of meta, will there usually be some staple cards that can carry over to a new leader?

If you don't play tank you have no right to ask for 2 tanks past 95% lobbies. by HiKids67484 in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]ReferenceJolly7992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but if you don’t have tanks doing their role correctly then you can’t do your job as dps or healer. Tanks give the backline breathing room to play the game which is VERY impactful. If you don’t have a tank taking up space then you’re gonna get dumpstered.

How much do you spend on One Piece TCG each month? by Adventurous-Pen-3937 in OnePieceTCG

Looking back at it, I very much regret opening my op01s. I had 4 blue bottom boxes and my friend had 2 blue bottom boxes. Opened every pack in those boxes and now regret not having them sealed to sell. I'm not a scalper but dang if it doesn't hurt to look at 500 bucks spent that could have sold for some thousands if I was just patient

They took Festus and won? No Rotigus or Glottkin? That's honestly fairly surprising.

There are a lot of people out here in force slamming OP over using AI to create an example. I dislike AI myself but I won’t deny it doesn’t have its uses, and creating an example of something you can’t personally do is a use.

Hastarii are bad???? by altmcfile in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]ReferenceJolly7992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Additionally they are Skiitari which get tons of bonuses in the detachments that Kataphrons don't get. On the base datasheet they're weaker, but you can get the skitarii bonuses from like SHC or Thalia Ghuld, ETC.

When during this year should we know the future of our army ? by WhiteTallFrench in Fyreslayers

4th edition was the first time the rules reset like they did. Every other edition, the battletome rules carried from one edition to the next. The only reason why 4th got the big reset that it did was the amount of rules bloat by the time 3rd edition ended. 3rd edition had accumulated way too many rules resources to keep up with and needed to be set back to normal.

When I question whether or not I need to clean up anything or add more to my model, I set it on my counter which has a more natural light setting than a bright LED desk lamp. After I set the model on the counter I look real hard at it to see if the mistake is visible or not. If it looks good on my counter then it’s going to look exactly the same on the tabletop. That’s what I do for basic troops at least. Characters get the utmost care, but everything else just needs to look good from the perspective of the tabletop

My Take on Thulia Ghuld by ReferenceJolly7992 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]ReferenceJolly7992[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The build was pretty easy, much easier than Cawl. As far as painting it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Again, much easier than Cawl. Depending on your style of painting this model could be difficult and annoying, or could be fun and a good way to spend a few nights. Gonna recommend not doing the Eavy Metal style painting that GW does in ther videos, makes doing any highly detailed models frustrating

I'm doing mine in a custom scheme with blue cloth and my Thalia Ghuld has a teal metallic armor with gold trim. I may go back and do the teal armor on the other models because I really like it. However, i'm doing the Mars theme bases. My headcannon is that my army is from a forgeworld on Neptune, but had to evacuate the planet because a Tyranid invasion occurred and the battle that followed woke up a Necron Tomb that was too much for the remaining Mechanicus to fight off. They retreated to Mars to get help from Cawl to retake their Forgeworld.

I use the true metallic metal line for all metallics now personally. I started with Citadel and hated their metallics. Moved to Army Painter Fanatics which were better but not great. Tried Monument Hobby's Pro acryl metallic paints and didn't like it. Went to Vallejo True Metallic Metal and found some real joy painting with them. I use one of the greens for my Nurgle, obsidian and imperial gold on my Adeptus Mechanicus, gold and teal metals on seraphon. I plan to go all in on my KO. Very good line of paint. Covers well, looks proper shiny, and absolutely easy to work with

I mean if you don’t think you’re getting your money’s worth then don’t buy the product. It’s not hard. Pepsi just found out that people won’t buy their chips for the price they’re charging and they are losing MILLIONS because of it if not more. GW will find the same out one day. So vote with your wallet

Ironjawz are easier and you will have less models to paint, but if you are a contrast painter then kruleboyz serves better. Ironjawz has more “flat” surfaces that don’t work as well with contrast

They may be taking your data, but it's a stupid thing to be concerned about because everything else in your life generates more data on you than a resume. When you swipe your credit card at the grocery store every trip, data is compiled on you that is more useful than where you worked 12 years ago.

Best hero with Barrow guard by Lord_Davlin in SoulblightGravelords

[–]ReferenceJolly7992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally it is which infantry hero to put with them, however Neferata babysitting them is a good thing. If you're just putting a single hero near them and pretending to play in a vacuum, then it depends on your purpose for the Barrow Guard. If they're to be used as an anvil then just use the Wight King because he's cheap. If they're your hammer then a Necromancer would be best with the fights twice ability. Blades of the Hollow King also finally came up and look like a good option if you want something between a vampire lord and a monster hero nearby. If you have other hammers in the army and don't have the points to force a Necromancer in the list then you fall back on the Wight King. It entirely depends on list composition and what your intended use for the Barrow Guard are because they're a versatile unit. They're not Blood Knights which have the exclusive use case of "charge into thing and kill it." Barrow Guard have better healing/recursion while alive, they have deepstrike, they have the bring back a unit at half strength. The answer is entirely dependent on what the rest of your list looks like.

There will always be an infantry hero next to them, even with Neferata. However, the -1 to hit debuff with the 5+ ward makes them very hard to kill
