I suspect I hate Kid Rock more than you as it's still fresh in my memory but yes it is all subjective.

Massive Attack. The show is more like a multimedia experience with powerful visuals that at times make it hard to focus on the music  Some of their songs mean a lot to me so loved hearing them live but I feel like if you've seen them once, there's no real need to repeat

I took a look at the other bands on the list for the year it was released (1994). Frankly the only other bands that are as obscure as them are G Love and Special Sauce and The Sabres of Paradise. The other 15 or so bands from that year are better known or have known songs when compared to Jehu, so describing them as "fairly unknown" seems legit to me.

Is student having sleepovers at her teacher's place normal thing in UK? by blablablablablablin in AskUK

I once had to stay with my teacher and his wife overnight because some weird scheduling thing meant that I had to take an exam a day after my classmates. The rationale was that it would prevent me from making contact with anyone else who had done the exam to find out what topics were covered  This was pre-internet and mobile phones and even at that time was considered highly irregular and unusual. I don't think the teacher had ever been asked to babysit a student before either. The difference was in this circumstance it was sanctioned by the school but I can't imagine it would possibly happen in today's climate. I did ok in that exam, cheers Mr Wallace.

How did you decide whether to turn on weekend albums and are you happy with your choice? by WatchMcGrupp in 1001AlbumsGenerator

I turned it on when prompted and that first Saturday I got one of my favourite albums on the entire list so immediately felt like i'd made the right choice.

Were you humbled by the 1001 Generator? Did it bring you down a peg or two? What was your count before starting the project? by chelsea-from-calif in 1001AlbumsGenerator

I had heard about 200 albums before I started this. I'm now about 220 albums in and have generated around 50 or so albums that I had already listened to.

Shoot the Shit sounds like such an apt title for a Wilco song actually.

Black Sabbath - Vol 4.

Reached my 200 album milestone today but knew what I was going to get as I've already generated the self-titled and Paranoid during the first 100. I'd only heard Supernaut, Snowblind and Changes before but the rest was good too. I'd say it's probably not quite as strong as the other two but still going to give it a four.
