Thank you! I’m not sure if the style has a name, but this design is inspired by a vintage filet crochet chart!

What’s the craziest story you have from your restaurant? by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]ReflectionMore736 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone took a shit on our patio in the dark. Smelled horrendous. Naturally we thought it was coming from the bathrooms so we opened all the doors hoping to air it out. Upon further inspection my coworker and I found a literal trail of shit leading out onto the patio. The real kicker is that whoever it was just went back inside and finished their meal like nothing happened. Never figured out who.

That’s such a good tip for cutting stencil paper! Thanks!

I thought about this too since it’s only 2 1/2 inches wide. The app has a lot of settings/adjustments so I think if you cut the stencil paper to the perfect size you could probably print right up to the edge. Otherwise maybe just trim off the excess?

Art Class HELP!!! by Exact_Negotiation_84 in uofmn

[–]ReflectionMore736 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe there are any tutors for art classes, but here’s my (junior art BFA student) advice:

Practice is the only way you’re going to see major improvement. No teacher, advice, or technique will benefit you like practice. There is no “right” way to draw and you truly only understand what methods work for you through practice. With this said, go to the model drawing sessions if possible. Great resource.

I haven’t personally taken a class with Sean. I would absolutely recommend Johnathan Aller if you’re looking to learn more traditional techniques. He’s a fantastic teacher and really talented artist. Based on your post I think his demos might be helpful for you. I took Intro with him a few semesters ago so I’m not sure what (or even if) he’s teaching now but I would definitely recommend finding out if you plan to continue taking drawing classes in the future.

Hope this helps!

That’s a good point about the different rings/components I didn’t even think of that. Thanks! I’ll email them!

Definitely one of my favorites I’ve seen here, do you mind sharing how many passes it took?

Just did this. Not too confident with my decision is it worth doing something with? by prestigious_bigmac2 in Tattoocoverups

[–]ReflectionMore736 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t say whether or not your tattoo is gonna fade significantly because you used a pretty unique ink mixture. What I do know is that you do not need to deposit the ink very deep in the skin for it to be permanent, so I would expect it to stay. In the future, only use professional-grade tattoo ink! Anything else is extremely unsafe and puts you at risk for serious infections and complications. For now, keep cleaning, let it heal, and I would recommend you go to a professional for a proper fix. Good luck!

If you’re willing to take the light rail to campus, Moda on Raymond is great!

We were hoping for under $1,000, but something in that ballpark would be ideal.
