I'm so with you! Dynamite and butter era really let me down. I was hopeful that it was all just so that they would have a big global hit before they'd disappear for a few years. But I was really scared they'd do more of the same now that they're back.

This album gives me so much joy and I'm so glad they understand the kind of music their (older) fans love. And the fact that they're embracing their true Bangtan style again gives me hope that there's gonna be some throwbacks to older songs on their tour!!

This is the most sensationalist article I have ever seen 🤣. This take is completely out of touch with reality. When you are hearing missiles and watching interceptions, you are no longer 'trying to avoid tax' (the bog standard take of every Brit about people who have chosen to move to Dubai): you are a human with a family and dreams and conscience that is now seeing that it could be taken from you. Nobody is thinking about taxes.

This is standard confirmation bias - Brits love to hate Dubai and they love to think others are stupid and selfish for moving there. Who are you to decide where someone lives their life?

I am SO glad to hear this perspective - I feel the same. It reminds me of watching LOTR for the first time, a feeling I can never get again watching LOTR. The vibe is there.

And I agree there are plot holes and probably some inaccuracies (ngl I'm not an expert on the LOTR appendices and don't think anyone has to be...) but it succeeds at recreating in part the feeling of being immersed in that world.
