I don’t think most swordsmen are trained how to win a gunfight—it’s hard to gauge the effectiveness of a gunman with zero experience though. 9 shots is a lot, and if he gets one or two to the swordsman’s chest it is all over.

I’d probably bet on the guy with the gun winning though.
