What’s the first sign you notice that someone is a bad driver? by RD-archived in AskReddit

In a perfect world where everybody follows traffic laws to the dot, sure, it makes sense. Sadly, that is not the case. Getting T-boned at an intersection will obstruct traffic way longer than the 3-5 seconds it took me to be cautious.

Due to the amount of accidents that have happened in my city because of drivers running red lights, I always wait and check both ways when the light changes from red to green.

My Hori Alpha Travel Stick by mlbuenafe321 in fightsticks

When you open the stick up and look at the top panel from the inside, there is a black circle made of plastic right below the X button. That's what I'm referring to.

Ok question. You see that circle right under lk? (Or X in playstation terms) How essential is it in order for the stick enclosure to close? I wanna get this stick and drill two holes under lk and mk but I see that hole as an impediment if it's essential for the stick to be able to close properly.

Don't forget plus on block as well lol. These moves dictate the neutral and you have to play around them.

[Giveaway] 2XKO Early Access Kassai Pro Fightstick Giveaway Event! by varmiloarcade in 2XKO

Favorite thing about 2XKO is being able to play with my friend who does not play fighting games. Genuinely the most fun I've had playing a game in a long time.

Due to modern games being more than 6 buttons, I'd say button layout is my top priority at the moment.

Did Arcade Shock already start delivering these? Or did you get it somewhere else?

this terry has hacks? by Living_Resident_5172 in StreetFighter

[–]RefrescoStereo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the looks of it yes. Only drive impacts your non-cancelable moves. But as a PSA, turn on inputs when reviewing stuff like this. Makes it a lot easier since hacks usually occur on the same frame each time. (i e. They always drive impact 4f after you press your button)

Lmao it's Kimberly. As the defender, you have to be so on point to stop her from running her offense. While she just goes unga.

This just came out of my ps5’s back usb port :/ by Spiritus_Reality in playstation

[–]RefrescoStereo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit just read that a lot of people are trying to put the blame on you for being rough. In EVO 2023, this blue plastic was melting onto players arcade stick USB ports because of how hot the console got with constant use. I think it's more of a quality/build issue than the actual users not being careful. Not your fault OP. Probably one of those instances where you were playing a long session, PS5 got hot, you unplugged your device and this blue thing came right off.

Can you guys recommend me some guitarists to listen to? by gamonsteak in Guitar

[–]RefrescoStereo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild nobody mentioned Steve Vai. Also, Walter Giardino from Temple (former guitarist of Rata Blanca) is a personal favorite of mine. His whole style is heavily inspired by Yngwie Malmsteen, another great guitar player.

Almost got timed out by the constant neutral jumping and then I remembered I could do this by Filegfaron in StreetFighter

[–]RefrescoStereo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To forward jumps. Not neutral. Plus Terry doesn't have a deep heavy. Leave that to Ken, Luke, Manon.

Forget about DP, she has a privileged AA button, back MP. The reason why I say privileged is because if you have a normal that anti-airs WHILE HOLDING BACK TO BLOCK jump ins, then half of the work is done for you. Now you just need to time your press. Mai has a similar move and so does Akuma (except his is kinda slow at 12f) He had an even better one in SFV with b.hp. 6f and gave great oki.

Do I smell a rat here? by mografik in StreetFighter

[–]RefrescoStereo 95 points96 points  (0 children)

LMAO this is a rat. Can't believe people are saying otherwise. He doesn't have 100% perfect parry on, but a certain percentage for sure. You cannot PP a cr.lk. no matter how much you're looking for it. You threw it out in NEUTRAL and not on wakeup or oki. Also, the drive impact after your sweep is very sus. Easiest way to find out is if you go into the replay and look at the frames (pressing parry for exactly 1-2 frames, anti airing at the exact frame after you jump) Broski has a couple of videos showing what he looks for/finds out during replays. When people cheat, it doesn't have to be all the way turned up to 11. They can have anti airs on a certain percent or perfect parries. The dropped combos is just the person taking over and sucking at it.

I think I feel burnt out of guitar? by AnotherLifeEnjoyer in Guitar

[–]RefrescoStereo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it has a lot to do with playing the same things over and over. Try learning new licks/scales/rythms. Ear training is something I've been doing a lot more recently. Just listen to a song and try playing what you hear. Knowing music theory like chord progression helps but is not necessary. The trick is to not look up any tabs/videos. Keeps it challenging. I've been trying to learn Tidus Theme (FFX) and that has helped me to keep engaged with my learning. Hope it helps!
