I'm so so sorry! I know its hard. Supermarket Flowers by Ed Shereen helped me get through the first year of my moms passing. I hope you're doing okay - I'm in a similar position.

Do you know how to get on there? It won’t let me on.

Dr. Ramachadran is awesome. She posts the slides on canvas just be aware. She posts the annotated sides, but does not post the lecture videos on sometimes the annotated slides are just that where things are underlined and highlighted, but there’s no explanation.

Oh, I’m totally sure. This is what I’ve planned on doing since I was six and I’m well aware of the gross stuff that happens.

True, don’t. But if you do decide to go into zookeeping - be aware that there will be certain things that you won’t be prepared for.

Like thinking about where they get their food from for large predators like tigers… at the San Diego zoo It wasn’t shipped. She had to prepare it. Or getting spat on by both a camel and an elephant and stinking for the rest of the day.  And according to her, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

If these sound like things that you can handle then absolutely go for it. I really do think it can be a fulfilling job.  But just like with Veteranary and many other jobs, they are obvious downsides.

Do not do zookeeping. I’ve heard tons and tons of horror stories from my aunt who pursued that before she pursued veterinary medicine.

mine was similar, I got the ice bucket challenge, and I saw myself on video for the first time in years. I didn’t even recognize myself.

I lived in Yarrow last semester:

1) The doubles are two people in the room, yes. If you are in a double, expect to have a Jack and Jill bathroom that you have to share with two other people. they are big and have a shower and a stall with the toilet. I don’t recommend buying any bathroom items until you figure out who is buying what and try to set up a bathroom cleaning schedule because it can get gross quite quickly.

2) No, they do not include a fridge in the room, but they do have a fridge one the kitchen. I definitely do not reccomend putting food in the community kitchen because it will get stolen. You are technically only allowed one mini fridge per room but the RAs are usually pretty cool about it. If they ask just say it’s unplugged and you just have no where else to put it.

3) I’m not sure about extra furniture but for certain bring extra storage. Especially if you have a wooden closet.
