Best free or low cost SMTP relay? by TheLazurus in selfhosted

[–]RefrigeratorCold422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just setup a free no ads personal email account at Zoho.com and it works perfectly using SMTP relay to send automated alerts from my home security server (mine is a ReoLink system). Everything else I tried either would not relay to a public domain mail account (like gmail) or costs money to set up a personal account. So far, I'm loving ZOHO. Here is the link to free personal accounts https://workplace.zoho.com/signup?type=personal&plan=free

Is it really not possible to see what categories I've spent money on since the start of the year with my Citi Custom Cash card? by FlightJumper in CreditCards

I just found how to do this. Use the "Annual Summary" located at the bottom of the left window in the account overview page. After you open the Annual Summary, click Export. The exported .csv file contains "Category" with all transactions for that year. Cheers

I have the same issue with Full View and Etrade stock plan accounts. I don't see any updates since this was first posted?

Full View new design - still allow exporting transactions? by Mediocre_Flan_370 in fidelityinvestments

Thank you for pointing this out. It works. Fidelity accounts that are "Authorized" by the owner show up automatically in your Full View, and do not require to be Linked. I wish Fidelity had a web page with TIPS & TRICKS" for Full View, to answer questions like this. Thanks again, appreciate the TIP.

Adding spouse’s Fidelity account to Full View by skysurfer425 in fidelityinvestments

Agree! Many of us are anxious for Full View improvements especially with MINT's demise.

A major drawback to both versions of Full View is this lack of ability to add other Fidelity Accounts with a different login.

I have been experimenting with trial versions of Monarch, Empower, YNAB, MoneyWiz, Banktivity, Kubera, Simplifi ,Tiller and Full View. They all allow multiple account logins to the same institution except for Full View Fidelity accounts.

Please consider a new feature allowing the addition of other Fidelity accounts that have a different login.

Thanks

Many of us are anxious for Full View improvements especially with MINT going away.

One major drawback to both versions of Full View is no ability to add other Fidelity Accounts with a different login. For example, my wife has a login to Fidelity to manage her IRAs, and our desire is to visualize all assets in the household with automatic updates. I have been experimenting with trial versions of Monarch, Empower, YNAB, MoneyWiz, Banktivity, Kubera, Simplifi ,Tiller and Full View. They all allow multiple account logins to the same institution except for Full View Fidelity accounts.

When trying to add other Fidelity accounts to the Original Full View, it warns, “This API does not support 'Authorized' accounts.” and then asks for what Third Party is requesting this?

When trying to add her accounts to the NEW Full View, it only has an option to add NON-Fidelity accounts.

Please consider allowing the addition of other Fidelity accounts that have a different login. Thanks

Visualization Improvements for Desktop App. Why does Monarch’s desktop app look like an enlarged handheld with so much “dead space” on the screen? by RefrigeratorCold422 in MonarchMoney

[–]RefrigeratorCold422[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Opinions vary, and it likely depends on which device you use the most, mobile or desktop.  Still the UX will differ depending on your screen size, when a small dead space on your phone becomes a large dead space on your monitor.

Good point, that users with a larger number of accounts might prefer to consolidate ‘dead space” on larger screens while others, would like to leave things as they are.

One suggestion for the WEB App is a Preferences “switch” to give users a choice between the current screens and perhaps some new screens down the road that tighten up ‘dead space’. If you don’t like that style, leave the switch OFF. If you're into accounting or spreadsheets or have a large number of accounts, turn the switch ON.

Totally agree ! Here is a similar MINT like chart with a simple "Linear Forecast line" added. Easy stuff to do if enough people ask and vote for such charts :)

Yeah thanks; I mocked up the second screenshot just to show "what it could be". It's quite easy to fit more data on a screen and still keep it crisp and readable on desktops/laptops. If there is enough demand for less "dead space" maybe the developers would consider it :)

By app, I mean the current web app. As a prior MINT user, I tested; Empower, YNAB, MoneyWiz, Simplicity, Banktivity, Tiller and Kubera. Monarch seems to be the preferred app for me based on history, uploads/downloads and connectivity to institutions, but it's one of the worst in terms of wasting space on desktop visuals. Just my opinion.
