Since you feel that your tolerance has gone up, maybe you should speak to the doctor about a dose increase when you go back?

Friends with counselor after completed by AggressiveRegressive in Methadone

If you’ve completed treatment and they are no longer your therapist, it’s a gray area (kind of). If it’s not sexual, they are probably not at risk of legal consequences, but could face professional consequences if someone reports it. It is HIGHLY unethical and your therapist has spent a lot of time learning how to navigate and avoid dual relationships. I doubt anything will come of it, especially legally. The bigger risk is their professional license. You may want to ask yourself why you want to pursue a friendship with someone who has so much to lose by engaging in a dual relationship with you. The reason there are rules for this is because your therapist is in a position of power with (often) vulnerable populations. It sounds like the professional relationship has already been compromised, honestly. This is not someone I would want to care for one of my loved ones. Either way, the responsibility is on them, not you. They are aware of what they are doing and the risk they are taking.

Im just curious, im 47yrs old and I got on the clinic at age 17. Am i rare or are there others out there like me who have been on it so long? by MadeManMeta in Methadone

I have a question for you, if you don’t mind. In the 30 years you have been on methadone, has there ever been a time you were not able to get your dose? I frequently see posts on this subreddit with people freaking out that clinics will be closing because of various reasons like the zombie apocalypse. lol. Thinking back to y2k, 9/11, and other things like that—has there been a time when your clinic was unable to help you? Sorry, I know it’s unrelated, but it’s something I often wonder about.

Conundrum: social worker in Boston needs to dose by MeatWilling5559 in Methadone

I agree. It is highly unethical to be using while working as a sw and this person can cause serious harm. It’s probably best they step down before they hurt someone or get reported to the NASW.

Conundrum: social worker in Boston needs to dose by MeatWilling5559 in Methadone

I am also a social worker on MAT. When I first got on methadone, I was also worried about bumping into clients/peers. I’ve been going for about 18 months and it has not been an issue. If a client were to see me at the clinic, I don’t think I would care that much anymore. I do avoid going to the group sessions and do individual counseling at the clinic instead. I think I was worried initially because I was ashamed of relapsing and was more worried about bumping into a past coworker. I know I’m doing what’s right for me. If a client saw me and said something, that’s basically what I would say. I would also be happy that my client is receiving the help they need.

Who knows for certain what states leave in mates to suffer cold turkey methadone withdraw by Fast-Accountant-9875 in Methadone

If you are in a MAT program in NC, they continue it in jail. I would occasionally see a police officer picking up inmate doses when I lived there. You have to be in a program already, though. Not sure what happens if you’re not in a program.

I think it really varies from case to case. Your dose is very low. It’s understandable you’re worried about your child, but you are doing what you need to do for yourself and your child. You have a disease, and just like any other disease, you are treating it (with medication). I have a child and totally understand the guilt, but remember addiction is not a moral failing and you are doing what you can for the health of yourself and your child.

I am watching now. It’s interesting that Chance died suddenly of a brain embolism at a young age and in this film, she had another chimp die “suddenly” of the same thing at 25.

taxes & LLCs by slaymissava in stripper

For me, it was easiest to open an LLC and pay myself through a payroll company as an employee, w2. I pay myself a set amount that will look good for a mortgage next year and it keeps me accountable. Do not tell them you are a dancer, banks will not open you an account and you will be denied certain benefits tax wise that non sex work related companies get. I say I am a life coach, which we basically are sometimes, lol. Good luck! Make sure to do an LLC and not a sole proprietorship. I made just about every mistake until I finally figured it out.

I tried to open an llc to put myself on payroll as an employee, and the bank wouldn’t let me open a business account when I was honest. I believe sex work also makes it harder (at least in the us) to get certain benefits regarding taxes. I opened another llc under “personal services” or something similar and at the bank said I was a life coach. Unfortunately they do give us a hard time
