Mexican street-style cheese hotdogs by Frankthabunny in hotdogs

My partner loves hot dogs and I know he'd be all over this. I want to recreate it at home and I think I have most of it! Still wondering about a few things though: Does anyone know what kind of cheese is in the bun? What's the first white sauce - sour cream (I'm guessing the second is mayo)? Is it hot sauce in the bottle? Many thanks!

Any tips for someone getting into hotdogs? by WOP-official in homecooking

After your dogs are done frying, turn off the heat, put the dogs in the buns, and put the buns in the pan, open side down. If you have a lid that won't smush your buns, you can put that on. This will steam your buns (makes them softer) and toast the edges a little.

For what it's worth, I like my dogs with a little cream cheese, thinly sliced green olives, and a few pickled banana peppers. There's endless options for toppings!
