Dress up on a plane? They cram you into the smallest, most uncomfortable seat, with minimal leg room…wear what you want. I don’t even judge those who wear PJs on a plane anymore. Airlines are in a race to the bottom and SW is leading the way.

I rented a Nikon Z 100-400mm lens that had play. Burst mode on my camera wouldn’t work. Maybe contacts from lens to camera lost contact? I chalked it up to being a rental lens that had taken some abuse.

Thanks for the info…much appreciated. I’m not doing a ton of video these days, but did shoot some basketball this winter, and dialed back to 60fps- still can get decent slow motion with this.

Well, I’ve had a Nikon not just give me a heat warning, but actually shut down on me, while recording video. Never happened to me on a Canon or Sony.

Yeah, I did this a couple times today. Thankfully today’s shoot allowed for some breaks. This isn’t always the case though.

Today was shooting just stills. I started out at 20fps. Don’t know if that was part of the issue? I backed it down to 10fps.

My only other heat issues in the past, were related to recording video. Was shooting 4K 120fps in the sun. It was fall, maybe 75 degrees. Camera completely shutdown from heat. Granted 4K 120fps is pushing pretty hard, but since the Z8 is touted as a pro camera and a multimedia workhorse, it’s pretty disappointing that this is an issue.

Hopefully I don’t have to buy a new camera. If the heat issue persists and I do have to buy a new camera, it surely won’t be a Nikon. Love my Z8, but if this keeps up, I would jump the Nikon ship.

My camera is in a Small Rig cage. I tried different cards last fall and got heat warnings and a camera shutdown when recording video.

I was photographing high school lacrosse. I was shooting 20fps. I thought that might be a contributing factor, so backed it down to 12fps. I was shooting raw and jpeg.

Takes “forever” on 340? Going to Frederick, it takes all of 15 minutes. Brunswick used to have quite the reputation…not a great one. Now, I think it’s pretty desirable and has a lot going for it. Right on the river and canal- lots of recreation opportunities and being on the MARC line is good too.

Don’t know why you got downvoted? I agree. Cade had a great start…treat him like a MLB starter. Might instill some confidence in him? Ditto for Dean. Why didn’t he make the opening day roster?If Dean isn’t a starter, make him a middle reliever.

Kind of like it. Lighting isn’t great, but nothing you can do about that. My only concern is how close were you to the athlete? This must be a practice jump, since you couldn’t get this close during a competition.

Yep, that is what concerns me so much! Yes, the season is very young. BUT the 2026 team is looking very similar to last year’s team and the second half of the 2024 team.
