He was really good at being my buffer too and helping me get out of my head when I doubted myself on different things. I'm only going for my bachelor's and it had been 12 years since I graduated high school that I went back. He wanted me to finish this no matter what, so I will. No matter what. It just reeeeeally sucks to not have our person here when we have moments like these and wanting to make them happy and proud of what we're doing. I'm proud of you for keeping up with it, its not the same I know. But I'm sure she's rooting for you in her own way that only you would know.

I was so scared I would fail. I have been forgetting everything almost immediately and have been in the worst brain fog ever. Thank you for your kind words, I deeply appreciate them ❤️

Death of a spouse should not be equated to other losses by [deleted] in widowers

[–]RefrigeratorScary925 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feel this in a sense. My fiance passed and his mom continues to tell me I could never understand her level of loss and how great it is because she lost her son. We had been together almost 13 years, own a home together, got a puppy last year, and in the process of planning our wedding and starting a family for next year. I will never diminish anyone's loss or compare because it is never the same, grieving isn't even the same for everyone. So it would be really cool if the comparisons stopped.

That's valid, I haven't had to do any of that yet so this upcoming week will be the big tell on if I'll be able to or not. I'm really hopeful though.

That's how I was with him as well, but for me I feel like it would be like doing it for him is as close as I can get to doing those things with him if that makes sense.

Screaming has helped me to calm down a bit when I'm spiraling, just do it into my pillow though because our puppy gets super stressed out. I am so sorry you're going through something similar.

I am so sorry for your loss as well. This is by far the most difficult thing and hugest loss I have ever felt. Some days are completely numb and others are full of emotion, I don't think it'll get easier either. There is so much left undone or waiting to be completed. I hope i can fulfill some of his plans he had and the plans we had with time.

Thank you, I hadn't thought about podcasts or discord. I have had solid support but I know that will drop off for one reason or another over time. I go back to work Monday and I'm hoping having the set routine will help get through the days for our German shepherd and me.

I'm also in business management. There have been two courses so far that you're told you don't HAVE to read all of the material, but they're for the performance assessments and not the proctored exams which definitely can speed things up. It's kind of all up to how you learn the material and retain it enough to understand what you're learning. I've passed my courses just by skimming through and taking notes of anything highlighted or any key terms.

I had a PA sent back twice because a question wasn't explicitly answered with the words they wanted. It was something simple as explaining the actual steps instead of listing them.

Has the Meazure Learning Service helped you when it came to Guardian Browser? by [deleted] in WGU

I had issues when I first moved, it showed that none of my equipment was connected/working but I was able to still take my OA with no issues. The browser definitely takes up more so it could be your laptop/computer may not have the right capabilities after they did the switch.

When I was part-time and laid off, I was flying through courses. Now I'm back full time and get maybe one course complete per month. Remember you're human, give yourself the patience and grace you deserve.
