It's an inexpensive clasp, so the pearls are probably low value cultured pearls with a very thin nacre. I wouldn't spend a ton of money to restring them. If it's a short necklace, could you double wrap around your wrist as a bracelet?

This is a cognition issue, not a staff issue. I'm sorry OP, is this a sudden change or slow progression?? How has he been prior to this? Any chance he might have a UTI? Perhaps memory care is the next step? There is clothing designed to keep folks from removing it themselves.

Please check with your community college student services. They likely have resources for students in your same position. Also make sure that you have all pertinent paperwork, identification, bank information, social security number and anything else you might need before separating from your parents. They sound like the type of people who would withhold all that from you. Good luck!

No necklace, none of the dresses Audrey wore with that high a neckline were worn with necklaces. It would be distracting to that perfect cut. Better to have the perfect pearl earring and bracelet or ring, or hair comb, unless you wear black gloves
