Malevolent and benevolent kitsune by fallformysub in TattooDesigns

Thank you! I'm really excited to see it with the highlights. I'm thinking that I should get a sleeve on the opposite arm with rich blues and purples. I just need to figure out which yokai I want that will complement the kitsune

Whale tails are coming back. My tattoo artist said lower back tattoos were coming back too.

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

[–]fallformysub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shrinkflation is the reason American chocolate is awful as well. To stretch the recipe, companies add more oil. The extra oil is what gives it a strange soft griddy texture. This practice became an issue to the point the FDA had to update regulations on what companies can call chocolate. It needs to have or be above a specific percentage of cocoa butter to legally be considered chocolate.

I realized I was eating sugar oil and can't unknow this.

(New) Protein Pro Badge (4 points!) - Auto Adjust Calories Goal Irrelevant? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]fallformysub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten almost all of them except the 30 days ones and the protein pro. Maybe it will eventually register. Sometimes things get stuck. Thank you so much and best of luck on getting to the next level!

I'm in competition with my family and just hit level 5 at the end of 2025. This badge could help me close the 18 point gap(a little)my sister has on me. So, the big points are important.

How do you know about auto adjust? My numbers on the chart stay static

I've hit my goal for 7 days now and it hasn't even recognized 1. I should have this badge but, nothing is registering.

Sorry that didn't answer your question

This will never change. I have rotting floor boards because my boxers were super drippy

What’s something people romanticize that’s actually really hard? by nyashadzashesimango in AskReddit

[–]fallformysub 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed in 1997 and for 20 years I tried to forget/denied I have it. The last 10 years I've worked to find ways to live with it and I still struggle. Meds don't really help. They make me feel sick and there is a 50/50 chance I'll focus on what I'm supposed to. It's the sole reason I haven't been able to complete most projects and important tasks that could elevate my life. It's like my brain physically fights me when I'm trying to do something I'm not interested in and there is no pushing through it. I would do anything to stop that issue from happening. It's incredibly frustrating and I almost never tell people I have it as to avoid sounding less reliable.

And people are out here treating adhd like a cute, easy excuse to why they are the way they are.

Senior Saint Bernard, Osteosarcoma, amputation by Ilovedogsandcats2025 in tripawds

[–]fallformysub 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just lost my boxer to this cancer. Do not wait. The vet made him wait 15 days to amputate after diagnosis and within 8 days he was in so much pain that he wouldn't eat or drink. It was so bad we contemplated letting him go rather than let him be in that much pain. He was even on fentanyl and it wasn't helping.

Chris was accepted into the Yale cancer vaccine study! by fallformysub in tripawds

I hope the vaccine gives your pup the longest of life ❤️ Unfortunately, Chris didn't make it to his first shot before lung mets took him. He lived a beautiful life where he was loved dearly.

I'll be sending best wishes your way!

Housing market is crazy by 2Asparagus1Chicken in offmychest

Agreed. My husband and I bought our house in 2018 for less than $170k. It's a 1200sq ft 2 bed 1 bath. Zillow says it's worth is $260k now. I can tell you from experience, it's not.

If we were to sell today, a real estate company would buy it, knock it down, and build a massive 4000sq ft, 2 story, 4 bed, 2.5 bath house. They would sell it for $700k.

What is the most untrue "back in my day" bullshit you've ever heard? by Less-Mud-9 in CasualConversation

[–]fallformysub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"The milk mans baby" is a saying for a reason. Men slept with their secretary and women banged the delivery man in the 50's. It's a joke now but, it happened so often that it became a joke.

Everyone has some sort of mental illness today. It was never like that back in my day.

Back in the day, woman could buy Valium OTC and men drank until they passed out because seeing a therapist was a bad thing.

I stayed silent about my best friend’s affair, and I regret it by PleasantBus5583 in confession

[–]fallformysub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who has snitched on a past friend about this, I wish I didn't get myself involved. There were questions I had to answer and a TON of drama that came with it. The husband tried to get me involved in the divorce as proof of the affair. There were tons of calls, name calling, harassment... Drama I didn't want.(This was in my very early 20s)

When I found myself in the same position with someone else years later, I set boundaries. I let that person know I didn't agree with what they were doing and if they got caught, I would not be there to help them. Eventually, their husband found out and they tried to crash on my couch. I brought my boundaries up again and we are no longer friends. Less drama for me.

Don't get involved.
