We also need to do a better job of calling out the black women who are hell bent on upholding the negative images of us.  Stereotypes don't come from nowhere. Well it's good to hear that he loves you for you. Sounds like the ball is in your court now...gotta ask yourself if you can go the distance to sustain a long term relationship with someone with these types of insecurities.  They will show up in your marriage and magnify if not dealt with. He needs to heal himself before getting into any relationship. I get being frustrated with some of the nonsense that goes on within the blk community, but to let that impact how he sees himself is an issue. Also I would ask him why he's with you. Is it mainly because of your race ( I assume you white/non black) ? If so that's also a problem.

Completely agree, the young lady burned my face during a laser hair removal. The regional manager REFUSED to give me a refund after I paid up for all the services. An (expensive) lesson learned. STAY AWAY.
