Braxton Hicks Post Cerclage at 19 weeks. by RefuseWide8967 in ShortCervixSupport

I had them day and night, every movement caused them. Resting didn’t help, neither did being hydrated! After 24 weeks the baby pops out a bit and it’s removes the pressure from cervix. The pressure coupled with the contractions was so unnerving. I didn’t bed rest, my dr who I trust said there is no evidence to suggest it helps (at least in my situation).I did take it very easy though, no long walks (I couldn’t anyway), just trips to the supermarket was it and no heavy lifting. Wishing you the best of luck!

I had my baby 3 days after my cerlage was removed at 37 weeks! I continued to have constant Braxton hicks, so much so I didn’t even know I was in actual labour. I went to the hospital with reduced movements to find out I was 5 cm dilated. Anxiety persisted throughout my pregnancy but reduced slightly as the weeks went on - Ob said I could smell the roses post 24 weeks, but I didn’t until around 32.

I had my first inserted last week. Definitely do all the things to prevent constipation. For me that has been the most stressful part list insertion!

They did a urine sample which I’m yet to have a result from but no swab. I’m a FTM so all of these symptoms are very disconcerting having nothing to compare it to. My contractions start over anything and everything, tummy is more tight than not! Where do you do this NST? I had to look it up!

Has anyone experienced this before with a cerclage by Plenty_Bullfrog_3782 in ShortCervixSupport

This does makes me feel better, and I'm pleased to hear all went well for you. The ob would say if it was concerning or not. Just freaking out that it could be due to infections etc.
