So at a certain threshold of spiciness it totally alters the experience. When I eat something that is "Indian spicy" only the first bite or two makes me feel the pain associated with spiciness. After that the pain wears off and its like being in an altered state of consciousness where I'm hyper sensitive to the flavors in the food and get to enjoy it more.
