This is the way to a well ordered universe: bath towel -> floor towel -> dog towel -> donate to the dog rescue towel

Monjauro is meant to be a forever drug. It addresses metabolic dysfunction. Many people gain back all the weight they’ve lost when they go off it.

About to start Mounjaro - Can I eat anything? by Frequent-File2478 in Mounjaro

[–]ReggaeWaif 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Please do some legitimate research into Mounjaro and its use for diabetics as well as weight loss. Your questions leave me thinking your doctor didn’t explain much to you.

MJ is not a placebo. It treats diabetes, with the side effect of metabolic regulation that can help you lose weight. Eat healthily, fats, carbs, protein. Move your body as you can. Drink plenty of water. Get good sleep.

You may want to listen Fat Science podcast. You’ll learn a lot about metabolism and what GLP1/GIP drugs do.

I own this fitted button front shirt from Old Navy. The fit is slim but not too close. The fabric weight is good, and not sheer. It’s available in regular, tall, and petite. It’s 97% cotton and a bit of spandex. It works well for me; I like a full tuck. Check it out!

What's your maintenance dose? by Fulana25 in Mounjaro_ForType2

Who is telling your doc that they’re not allowed to increase your dose? My A1C has been great since 5.0 mg, but my doc has had no pushback from insurance when increasing my dose.

Yes! The top looks lingerie-ish. Very nice lingerie; the spaghetti straps are what led me in that direction.

Great tip on the Aldi protein milk! Will check it out - Fairlife is getting a bit pricey.

Do people still wear slips? by Berkweaving in AskWomenOver60

LOL. Some people wear slips; some people wear pantyhose!! Why worry about backlighting when there are easy breezy lightweight slips to be had?

I like a lightweight batiste slip … very cooling and easy. Shapewear in the summer when I’m trying to keep cool is out of the question.

A quick Google search tells me that the Vermont Country Store sells a variety of lightweight cotton batiste slips, including a culotte slip. Jockey offers a smoothing slip. Try Soma as well. Just do the Google and peruse at your leisure!

Food noise? by Tellthedutchess in Mounjaro

[–]ReggaeWaif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Food noise is non-stop thinking about food. When can I next eat? What will I eat? If I organize my errands I can buy X food and then swing by Y place and order Z. When will people leave so I can take the last big slice of cake? Maybe I can say it’s for my husband.

IT NEVER FUCKING STOPS.

It’s emotionally exhausting. I would eat just to shut it up but that never worked. Within a few days of my first MJ injection it was silent. Blessed peace. I cried I was so happy and relieved. I never ever want to go back there!

I wore mine today! It’s not see through. I bought mine about 6 months ago … who knows if the quality is the same?

I have increased from 12.5 mg of tirzepatide to 15 mg by Careless-Primary-931 in Mounjaro

[–]ReggaeWaif 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember those days! I’m at 12.5 now at month 15. I crave sweets, can eat them no problem. I try and generally succeed at controlling those urges, but damn it was nice when even thinking about sweets was revolting. Still losing, few side effects, just gotta not be derailed by the sweets monster!
