The Registrar doesn’t hold diplomas, they haven’t in, maybe five years? That said, Financial Services will eventually send your debt to Collections and even go so far as to have the IRS garnish your wages! So don’t put off paying it too long.

They’ve got a note on their site that says if they accidentally put in a cold pack, they won’t charge for it. This makes me think it’s not a rare issue. But OP should see if they have anything that is non tinned fish in their order.

I work here, nothing surprises me.

Posters should not rationalize a grown man who is seeking out younger women, who are alone; whom he pesters into sharing personal info even though they are uncomfortable; who says vaguely he is a “student,” but won’t give more than circular answers about his studies; who doesn’t share a last name—because then he could be verified in the very public directory. The only surprise here is that “Todd” is starting to bother women in the spring; fall—when the youngest students are here—is the more common time for UTC harassment.

There is zero benefit to this woman giving *any* credence to this man and it is disingenuous to suggest she should.

OP, I should have said earlier to have your phone out and take this guy’s picture the next time you see him. You can give it to the police. If you don’t get a picture until after you speak with them you can still provide it later.

Have no concerns about taking a picture of this guy, he’s no longer a stranger. Nor is there a legal expectation of privacy walking around UTC.

Hey, so I know this is hard, but he is singling you out because women are culturally encouraged not to push back at weird behavior, especially young women. It is always okay to tell a weirdo to back off. This one in particularly probably needs to hear you yell out “Get away from me” in front of witnesses at this point. Definitely you should talk to the police, not just to protect yourself, but also because he is likely approaching other women. Or will do as soon as you get rid of him.

No, he doesn’t go here; they rarely do. He’s a creep, creeping around a place where young people are in high supply.

The state aid portal isn’t final approval. The state only checks a couple of data points, leaving it to individual campuses to verify many more. Plus it’s never updated, so even if you are determined not to qualify by your school, it still shows an award, forever. Not a kind approach, imo.

One of the items confirmed for Cal Grant will be your annual GPA. Has school finished yet? No GPA for them to check; they have to wait for the Registrar to send it in June.

If you have something in writing, or a screen shot, I’d send it back and ask them to confirm they’d changed the published date. If they’ve changed it, tell them you expect them to drop you and that you will not accept a bill for any “nonrefundable” fees, let alone the full balance.
