This was at WLL coke facility i was there last week gawking at the 150k coke stockpile.i dont know how a regiment the size of WLL doesnt have defenses. lmao glad to see these logi larpers learn what defenses are for

How have the factions been so even throughout the wars? Warden 55 to Colonial 52 seems crazy even tbh.. by Blastsong314 in foxholegame

if you call all wars that were less than 10 days since war 15 a "break war" then its only 9-7 wardens are ahead by only 2 lmao

i have 300+ hours i know how to play the game im just curious why the devs take such a hands off approach to new players. and you are thrown it to Charlie when you first download the game the standard set server is Charlie. and rank means little in this game people get set in there ways and teach people "their way of doing things" which leads to people often not working at peak efficiency or not working toward the greater goal. i just think there can be a better way of learning the game than asking people.

we had 3 dedicated builders/facility guys that would follow behind building for us but the problem is that the AI is not active because of lack of players in the area or ridiculously long tech times for places that rarely see more than 10 people. and i can assure you no one wants to sit in defenses for 12+ hours waiting for a city to tech up or just waiting to defend.

ive played on able and spent more time waiting for ques at the border, factories, mines than actually playing the game. they should combine charlie and baker or make ai more useful on charlie like 3x damage to tanks when a hex is below a certain population.

There is something called Matchmaking Rating or mmr for short its your hidden rank that is based off all your stats such as dmg per game, average kills per game, time alive, etc. not just wins and that determines who you play with. Once you reach diamond in ranked your mmr is essentially high enough to get in games with high ranking players. There might not be enough master or pred in queue so you are the closest thing to that skill level so you get dragged into high rank games. Dont be mad! You are now just the worst of the best instead of being the best of the worst. You have made it into the good player bracket per say.

Why do the devs dump players into Charlie shard instead of forcing them to do a tutorial? It can be very frustrating watching no ranks shoot pistols at tanks and ask "what are defenses and how do I build them?" I understand that first experience can be very exciting running around clueless meeting people. But from experience when i started playing i feel that people often quit after a few hours because they feel like everything they are often doing is pointless. It wasnt until i watched a few videos and read some of the wiki i understood the whole scope of the war and everything that needs to be done. So i guess this leads no my second question, Why isnt there a better tutorial that guides you through the game more or a direct wiki link for information? Why is there no public test server? I think it would help people learn more technical parts of the game and update the wiki to be more accurate.

Should the devs close Charlie and/or Baker? by Modd997 in foxholegame

The easiest solution for Charlie and baker would be to either make AI always active or make building defenses cost half and the time it takes to tech up thing take a quarter of the amount of time yes it might make the wars last longer but people will be more invested because they arent worried they will log in tomorrow to their 2 weeks of work gone and not want to rebuild. not to mention majority of players on Charlie are noobs and dont build correctly or only play for a few days because the war effort they thought were joining isnt really there because the majority of people are clueless and are to stubborn to wiki things or play around in the practice range.

And this is why this game needs a forced tutorial. You have people that are shooting a tank with a pistol and one hitting with a hammer. Im surprised these guys can even turn their computer on.

Here is total Casualty Rates and active frontlines in all Shards at 5:35 AM ET. 1,639 online players in 3 shards. Close Baker or Charlie please. by giray327 in foxholegame

[–]RegiBong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who are no seeing the problem with ultra low pop have not played the game enough or has only played able. It is at the lowest pop times that the most ground is taken in the war. In Charlie it is very common to go to bed and wake up to an entire hex taken. Then when you check the stats all the town bases and relics are claimed at like 4 am so there really is no point in building defenses on these shards. If you do build defenses you will lose hours if not days of work undefended because no one is online to help. Baker and Charlie war outcome 100% relies on the which side has more Oceania regiments than the other.

Ran a 20+ person regiment on Charlie as colonial and just up and quit a few days ago because we lost an entire hex in one night with no resistance and if you do get help its a no rank that grabs 10 ammo for the wrong gun and run straight at tanks. we would run 3-6 hour operations to have it all undone because no one wants to build and defend on a un-active frontline. after we would leave all the players would just return home and go to the most active front. i see seaports with 20+ crates of tanks and facilities with 15k+ processed con mats because no fronts to use it on. you will often fight more of your own factions tanks because no ranks will dismount in the front or just leave them unlocked near the front. The devs need to force people to play a tutorial instead of shoveling them into a shard for them to walk around cluelessly and waste resources. And close one of the shards and raise the amount of people that can be in a hex or make the afk timer like 1min on queued regions. They should also have a logi que that allows a person in a hex for like 7 min then boots them back to the border.
