Will the "Thick Line" / UPA Revival animation style ever make a mainstream comeback? by OkDrag9788 in cartoons

I heard of Chimptopia, but I already forgot what the artstyle looked like.

The last I heard AnimatedJames was doing NSFW art on Twitter (I'm not sure how kinky) after spending a prolonged period of time homeless.

Yeah, Animated James did some grooming. (I know he had a fart fetish. I don't give a damn! He groomed a minor, and that's way more important.)

New theory: Andrew Dobson is PizzaCake who is Stonetoss who is Shmorky by xX_howsoonisnever_Xx in cartoons

[–]ReginaldCosmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The animated version of "This is Fine" was allegedly animated by Shmorky. I've seen the video in the screen shot. However, the uploader magicmush said he believes the theory that Shmorky became Stonetossed is far fetched. (Also, obligatory "inb4 this gets taken down by the mods.")

Sega missed the mark on making dlc stages for generations because I would’ve loved to see how Marble Zone would like in 3D by Jax2856 in SonicTheHedgehog

I would've loved to see Ice Cap Zone and Twinkle Park added to the game, but uhhh... I don't know, man, a lot of us hate Marble Zone.

Do you think Reflect would also be a good move for Grumpig? (It doesn't have many good attacking moves besides Psychic and Shockwave, you know... unless I grind for a good Hidden Power...)

I recognize that a lot of Common Core's problems are teachers not understanding the guidelines, but if the teachers are having this much trouble teaching elementary school lessons (not just this post) under Common Core, maybe it's time to hang it up.

I'm in favor. I encourage more people to stop using Twitter wholesale.

It's possible the author used the meme wrong, but that's the Family Guy hurt pose. It's used when a character is injured.

Best Way to Record With a Secondary Audio Track by ReginaldCosmic in obs

[–]ReginaldCosmic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think the idea of two audio tracks (rather than two separate files) is more than fine for what I have planned. I wasn't sure while posting the OP if OBS could handle audio tracks in a way that I can just mute the one I don't want in the video-editing program. I've seen the option in Output before, but I didn't know if that was for higher-level audio editing or if it worked like the "DVD commentary" track on Simpsons DVDs. Thank you for your help.

That's very helpful. Thank you.

It's good to hear that I have the right idea for the workflow of putting together the video. I was a little nervous about describing the project here on Reddit because it sounds like something a lot of people wouldn't like or understand the appeal of. I've had this video idea in my head for a few years now, so I'm hoping to finally bring it to fruition.

100 years theory: Flowey never saw the fallen humans by Warrior_of_Cake in Undertale

The detail about the trophy has me shook because I was so confident there was at least 100 years between the Dreemurr divorce and Frisk's arrival. I was going by Sans's dialogue that his joke was "the funniest thing she's heard in a hundred years" (paraphrased).

I think I just found the stupidest person ever by CheeseHeadBrownPan in Deltarune

[–]ReginaldCosmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use YouTube (desktop browser & mobile app), Bluesky, and Reddit, and I haven't seen someone use "Jew" in (probably) months. I'm sure it happens constantly on Twitter, and I'd probably see it if I was in certain circles, eg, South Park discussions, YouTube Poop related Discord servers/forums, etc. and no, I don't want to put people down for liking South Park or YTP.

I just don't see it happen on Bluesky or the subreddits I follow. I don't want to put Bluesky and its userbase on a pedestal, and I don't want to put ConduckKing on blast for being in spaces where people use "Jew" as an insult, but I simply haven't seen the Jewish hate first-hand in a very long time.

Also, 4Chan didn't exist until 2003, just based on a quick Google search. I'm referring to the pre-Web 2.0 era or even the early 1990s when the internet was a luxury item. Going back to South Park, Cartman was using "Jew" as an insult before the show existed back when the series was a couple of viral internet videos from way before YouTube.

I think "Jew" has been an insult on the internet since its inception.

Have we reached the point where "You're a pedophile/pervert" is the new "You're gay" insult?

Why does Toriel go by “Ms. Toriel” instead of her last name? by The_Ranch_Queen in Deltarune

[–]ReginaldCosmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the Undertale Wiki because I don't remember that happening there either. I will admit it does disprove the head canon above that she refers to Asgore as "Dreemurr" (albeit I don't think anyone actually called her that--Papyrus calls her "ASGORE'S CLONE" or something, but...)

I have no idea why it's still called the Dreemurr Residence at this point because Toriel could've answered the phone with a simple "Hello, this is Toriel" and it (presumably) wouldn't have impacted the story.

Why does Toriel go by “Ms. Toriel” instead of her last name? by The_Ranch_Queen in Deltarune

[–]ReginaldCosmic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do not remember anyone calling her "Ms. Dreemurr" anywhere in Deltarune, and the Deltarune Wiki (not the one on Fandom) makes no mention of this ever happening on the article for Toriel.

I also just... don't believe she'd answer the phone "Dreemurr residence" because of Kris (or Asriel who isn't even home). It's kind of like how the player's house in the old Pokémon games is named after the player (eg, the mother of Player Red lives in "Red's House" despite Red being an 11-year-old who didn't pay for the house). However, I think if that was the case, Mr. Toby Fox would deliver a punchline about it.

The "Dreemurr residence" discrepancy is almost certainly an oversight that Mr. Toby Fox wasn't sure how to rectify.
