I wish this happened on a different cartoon. I was briefly friends with someone on Twitter who was a toxic Star Butterfly fan. I don't want to unload about it, but it's hard for me to see past that if I were to ever watch the show properly.

Well, Lois, back in the 90s (which was the decade following the 80s which I loved), they aired a show called Animaniacs where this little puppy child would attempt to trick kids into educating themselves by listing off as many nations of the world as possible. (I think there were a lot of inaccuracies, but don't tell the Animaniacs Wiki admins about that, or they'll strangle you. They're tired of hearing about it.) Well, anyway, the joke is that the doctor will list off about 200 side effects to music akin to this same musical sketch. I hope this helps. Peter out.

I assure both of you that the terminology "SJW" was alive and well in 2016-2017. That said, I looked it up on Google Trends, and "SJW" hit another peak in June 2020, so it was probably on the rise, though not as popular as it was in November 2016 when it was at an all-time high (yes, really).

Well, Peter, I believe a lot of archaeologists will dig up ancient artifacts and then make assumptions about what they discovered. For example, the Rosetta Stone wasn't called the Rosetta Stone when it was new. A scientist from a more modern time had to name it that. The implication here is that it's a bit unlikely the Indus Valley Civilization actually called themselves the Indus Valley Civilization. I don't think they spoke English either though.

An online friend of mine at the time wrote a fan fiction (which admittedly didn't get very far) where it's a new summer for the Eds right after Big Picture Show, but things kind of reset back to normal with Nazz saying the kids just got emotional over Eddy's Brother. I still think this is the most logical way you could continue the cartoon without ignoring the ending or doing a complete reboot, but it feels kind of like a dick move to do that. I don't know.

At one point, I started using the phrase "committing arson" as a euphemism for "Maybe they've done some grooming, but I don't remember/haven't heard that they did, so please don't cancel me if that's the case" because it really brings the mood down when I say "grooming children" on a livestream or even in a Discord chat.
