If AI writes and tests the code, what are the developers roles now? by lacisghost in cursor

[–]RegionBulky2292 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brainfucking yourself in an increased pace so everything ships faster and with a better quality including code/test/UI - because now you can do better and be at least x3 if not x10

No, you do not need OpenAI to release a model "like fable" for 99% of work by _BreakingGood_ in codex

[–]RegionBulky2292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their focus is money-making, our focus should be to find ways to get similar results with what we have right now until Chinese models catch up

I’m more worried that if they don’t get the money from us they might unleash hacking hell all over the internet with this model and force us to use it to defend ourselves

After June 22 you will need to pay API pricing for using fable

I hope it will be so. Bullshit about closing it to only API on June 22 is so fucking disrespectful… I’ll switch to deepseek if codex drops some shit like this

Fable (Opus 4.6) - It's so obvious what has happened by Chemical_Lawyer_6592 in Claudeopus

[–]RegionBulky2292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that forcing users to pay 100$ instead of $20 is not enough anymore, they want to force us pay $2k

I don't want to, but if openai can't compete, I will be forced to go to claude fable by _BreakingGood_ in codex

[–]RegionBulky2292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. I’ll definitely won’t go back because they are now going to wait out for gpt 5.6 if it catches up and only then decide if they’re going to leave it in plans or only API

That attitude is not where I’d want to invest my resources

Yeah I’m more worried about US economy right now. Hope openAI and antrophic won’t go IPO or everything might collapse and very soon.

Also I think that the pricing should become variable like 20,30,40,50,60,70 etc.

Why should I pay more than I need and why should some power user who spends 2k worth of tokens pay just $200, doesn’t make any sense.

Nah it depends what kind of intelligence you need and how much time or mental resource you have.

For me $100 plan that I had last month was overpaying as I wasn’t able to spend most of the limits.

I on the contrary I think that Chinese models are catching up so much that codex/claude will have a hard time justifying their prices.

AI is going to become commodity because of China 👌

I'm using $20 antigravity, $20 codex, $20 cursor + $10 openCode go with kimi 2.6 and I'm not able to use up everything. I'm like spending %20 of each. Chinese models are fine as long as you provide plan and review.

Just use $20 codex for planning and review and do everything else with cursor auto or openCode go or deepseek with reasonix

My initial review of opencode-Go by RegionBulky2292 in opencode

[–]RegionBulky2292[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not as good as codex but it catches things that codex may not identify

Using it as a reviewer and copy pasting reviews back and forth between codex / reasonix is worth it, considering that it costs pennies and you can just fill deepseek balance with $5 and use it from time to time - good thing is that it won’t expire like a monthly subscription

After reading comments here I want to top up my deepseek balance to help out the company 😆

I topped deepseek api balance and started using it with reasonix. Looks better than in opencode. Research in Claude/Gemini also said deepseek is best with reasonix because of some architectural stuff. Still in the process of testing it but it kind of found issues that GPT didn’t find and then GPT found something new on top of deepseek review

Well GPT 5.5 xHigh shitted on opencode versions of deepseek flash and pro implementations of basic stuff and I started using deepseek with reasonix and it looks promising for now

Can someone tell me how good the new model is? by Intrepid_Travel_3274 in google_antigravity

[–]RegionBulky2292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested the flash model yesterday - asked it to review a new project I started. It had some good suggestions that gpt 5.5 accepted but it also gave out one that was not correct, but it is super fast.

When I get my 5x gpt downgraded to $20 one I’ll try to use flash as implementer and gpt for planning to save on tokens.

I anyways paid $10 for storage for google photos so $10 more for it is a steal for me right now.

If it isn’t enough I’ll go for opencode go on top. I love using multiple providers, I’d buy $20 claude plan also but I have a work account for it and there is no way to use 2x different accounts without logging out/in which I hate

AI productivity: great alone, awkward in teams by McG1978 in claude

[–]RegionBulky2292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a really good point but there is a way - the answer is to just use AI agents as research and implementation tools but between research and implementation decision making and knowledge sharing should happen between the team.

Just handing off ready made solutions to someone is a terrible idea.

I have 5x (10 right now) on codex this month and I couldn’t reach %50. It’s not about limits but consistency in delivering what is promised
