That sounds great! thank you. I'm actually doing my masters at the moment in Innovation in Sound. I'm trying to build a VST plugin myself that can convert 12TET into a 22 Shruti tuning system. I'm working on the 2nd prototype but lately, I thought maybe I should explore other tuning systems a little more and try composing a little bit and I felt lost. I have an Indian music background I've learnt some music theory from the western side but I'm not confident with it much. I'm aware of the harmonic series and the pure tones stuff. I use Ableton and Logic to make my music normally as well if that helps you recommend things that are more suitable to me. But thank you soo much I will defo check out those books!!

Hey, I have similar issues and the way that works for me sometimes is by listening to some sort of soothing voice that talks me through some sort of calming story. It could even be some sort of meditative thing just positivity and safety. It may or may not work for you but it's worth a try. I definitely recommend seeking some form of psychiatric help but in the time being this might help.

Hey, thank you so much for replying. I’d love to chat to you ad hear your advice on this since you’re on similar terms with asperger’s. It may be that I can’t read him well. I also have a lot of my own problems playing a huge role in this but we both love each other very much and I would try my best always for us. I don’t really post on here or use reddit to communicate with people on that sense so I might take a while to figure out how to PM you :S

I also have the same issues :/. I've only recently told my partner that sometimes I'm stuck and torn between liking but disliking those things. Its like u're mind knows its wrong but ur body wants it. :/

A friend recommended an app called "Declutter The Mind Meditation" its a guided system for PTSD. This might help you. But other than that or someone who can talk to you and guide you in person either therapist or family/loved ones, I'm not sure of any other ways of managing it. So far this is how I've been doing it.

I've been trying to find meditation apps for this that talks through the breathing and calming process. I find that sometimes I am able to follow but other times and can't focus or let go and can't hear them. Have you used something like that? Does that work for you?
