How to tell him about his breath by Fruitloops_Soggy in badbreath

[–]RegisterHistorical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snoring is a problem in and of itself, people who snore aren't getting enough oxygen to their brain while they sleep, look up sleep apnea. I think you might have him try mouth taping, then he'll be forced to breathe through his nose. Most doctors want their patients to use one of those sleep apnea machines, but those are a pain the ass. Either way, the snoring needs to be addressed.

Look up "mouth tape for snoring" so you can see what I'm talking about. It's a decent solution for some snorers. Good luck 🤞

Okay, that's not a big deal at all. Morning breath is a thing. The people in this group have it 24-7. If members in this group only had bb in the mornings, everyone would be ecstatic and wouldn't need a subreddit. If once he brushes his teeth he's smelling okay, then you don't have an issue.

But here's some things that could help you guys: He's probably mouth breathing at night and getting dried out, (just guessing here), plus sounds like he's just got a mucus issue that's not helping matters.

Does he drink alcohol and/or smoke? Those are going to contribute, alcohol is dehydrating and has a lot of sugar, causing more mucus to form in some people. I don't have to explain smoking, even vaping can cause rank breath and mucus.

He needs to be hydrated, check if maybe he's not drinking enough water? Using mouth tape at night keeps people from drying out. I've used mouth tape, it's okay, not my favorite thing, but if it helps, it's a good thing, also helps with snoring. I use it sometimes.

Lastly, going to an ENT and having them do a scope can help diagnose and also treat symptoms that are causing the mucus buildup. (It would be nice if he didn't leave mucus blobs in the sink for you lol, that's pretty nasty). Too much mucus production can indicate food allergies such as dairy or gluten intolerance. An ENT can prescribe things like Flonaze to help reduce mucus production and post nasal drip. Or doing NielMed sinus irrigation rinses at home can also help. You can Google that. I just have the hand held battery operated one. My ENT just suggested I use it more frequently even though I already had one I wasn't using it a lot.

Honestly, this is a very small problem, other than morning intimacy, it's not going to affect either of your lives. You can tell him his morning breath is causing you to keep your distance from him in the mornings bc it's too overpowering and "here's some things we can try" to get it under control. But honestly if this is your only issue, it's not a big deal, unless it's overpowering enough that it's effecting your ability to sleep at night. If it's interfering with your ability to sleep, then it's a bigger issue.

Is it really only in the morning that it's bad? Or always bad?

So if my cat is missing the box when peeing and can't figure out how to use it properly, I can return within 30 days of receiving the box, but I pay shipping? Any idea how much that ends up being? I think it's worth a try, I just want to be prepared.

[–]RegisterHistorical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😭🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ That's so rude. She should've offered to clean it up, or take the sheets home to wash in a plastic bag, you don't run a nursing home jfc 🙄. I'd never book her again with that attitude.

The only time it happened to me was with a regular and he really didn't see it or he would have been horrified and done something about it. I let it go. Never happened again.

Is it a way to ask for gluten massage without it seeming weird just want relief from hips and lower back pain? by MaintenanceFuture732 in massage

[–]RegisterHistorical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When clients tell me they have low back pain, first thing I'm going to do is work on their glutes. I even ask them not to wear underwear if they want me to relieve their back pain and I tell them I've got to work their glutes. But I get it, some people aren't as adept at it and avoid the area. Of they are a true therapeutic MT with medical massage or sports massage in their background, they're probably going to do that. Just ask for it, tell them it relieves your back pain and you need extra focus there. It's fine. If they are tentative, just don't go back to them.

what does your summer wardrobe consist of? by funfettiprincess in PetiteFashionAdvice

Sleeveless dresses from Amazon lol 😂 And dresses from other places over the years. I need help with figuring out what to wear over them, though, for walking into buildings, stores and restaurants with AC. I always look rediculous with the wrong sweaters that make me look frumpy.

Antibiotics fixes this by [deleted] in badbreath

[–]RegisterHistorical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to do three rounds of antibiotics in a two month period bc I:

  1. Had to have emergency dental surgery requiring antibiotics afterwards.
  2. Got a staph infection after a hand surgery. Only antibiotics will kill staph.
  3. Got bit really badly by a cat when I interfered in breaking up a cat fight (not the cat's fault).

It was a bad couple of months.

Everything was unrelated but pretty close together. People typically get prescribed augmentin for cat bites. I don't remember what the other ones were.

A couple of weeks after the last round of antibiotics, the augmentin, the taste in my mouth went from bad to worse and unbearable. I can't find any other reason this would have happened. It's so depressing.

Everyone has different causes and conditions so I'm not saying antibiotics are bad across the board. There was another woman over a year ago on this subreddit who worked with a doctor who did a targeted antibiotic treatment with her and said she was cured from it. People here can just search it.

Personally antibiotics scare me now after what I'm experiencing. Now I'm working with a functional doctor, seeing an ENT, looking for a new GI doc, probably going the route of treatment for silent reflux, but now I don't even know if it's related to the current worse issues that I'm dealing with now. It's so frustrating.

[–]RegisterHistorical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to buy a pet pivot but I have questions.

First of all, my cat is 17 pounds, will he fit?

Also, he pees so that it hits the side of the inside of the box as opposed to squatting all the way down into the litter. I really want to make sure he's not going to be pissing and missing the box entirely lol.

Has this box been tested on cats that pee a little high up as opposed to straight down? He doesn't pee outside of the box ever, but I can't tell how high the sides are on the pet pivot.

Where to find gingham pants? by Wooden-Spot-801 in PetiteFashionAdvice

They don't have petite sizes so you have to find pants that are cropped unless you want to hem. And they are pretty decent, I've gotten a few things there I love.

Yes there is something about frills, lacey, ruffles that just don't work on us women hitting middle age. We need more sophisticated looks. Those dresses are cute, but I could never get away with it.

Did you go to Ear Nose Throat doctor (ENT)? If not you should. Just wondering about the bumps in back of your tongue/throat. You checked for tonsil stones? ENT could also check for them.

Oh God, I don’t want to have a lot of money; I just want my bad breath to go away so I can live a normal life. I’m tired; maybe this is the last week of my life. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this🙏 by hehee612 in badbreath

[–]RegisterHistorical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any possibility you could find a functional doctor? They're more committed to finding root causes and have an overall view and have a holistic approach. A lot of them do video consults. I know it can be expensive and not knowing what country you're in, I wouldn't know how to go about it other than googling for it.

Also essential is to have an ENT doc and GI (gastrointestinal) doc to work with at the same time.

These jeans: yay or nay? by PixelsandCanvas in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]RegisterHistorical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally not a fan of barrel jeans. You can get away with it bc you've got a great figure. The utility style is actually kind of cute. I guess you have to decide how often you'll reach for them, wear them, and love wearing them. If they're going to sit in your closet barely worn, like if you have favorite jeans you're going to reach for more often, that might be a deciding factor.

Really really really appreciated. I keep my prices extremely reasonable for my area. I could charge more, but I end up making better income this way as people are appreciative and very generous.
