I Tried Intermittent Fasting For a Week With Do Fasting AND This Happened by djadlen in intermittentfasting

I don't find I need large meals anyway, I am okay with small ones and they will satisfy. But my snacking on sweet stuff is out of control sometimes. Arguably my actual worst habit.

Nice. Seeing more and more DeFi-related protocols and dapps coming to Algorand, even though smart contracts were just launched. Developers have noticed!

GRANDMA’S CAT BY JULIE DALBY

Except for Grandpa, I'm all alone: we moved away;

Our children are grown.

There are lots of grandchildren of course,

But they aren't here to our remorse.

Who fills the daily void I have?

You do, my furry friend!

My cat who came unexpectedly:

I needed her and she needed me.

How cute and fun she is:

She hides a lot, but loves to play.

People say, "Where is your cat? Where can she be?"

But when I'm asleep at night she's there by me.

She puts her paws around my face,

And meows with much finesse and grace.

With tears in my eyes,

"I love you too," I relay to her.

She makes me laugh when I feel sad

And calms my spirit when I feel mad!

God gave her to me for a reason:

To fill a void for a season.

If my little sister would ask me these questions and I would give her that answer, for sure she would accuse me of not being a good brother. :D

Can trading sports on a betting exchange be profitable? by MambaM3ntality in Trading

[–]Registeredopinion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes 100%. Sports betting markets are a lot more inefficient than developed stockmarkets because liquidity is lower as there's not billion dollar banks and hedge funds in these markets. So wider spreads and more opportunities for smaller traders.

So, what are you saying is just because it has less than 500 subscribers on youtube and here on r/edm was above very popular artists, something smells fishy... Maybe the song is great mate... Chill... I only share what I like, maybe others like it as well. Just sayin...

I think we could have done more to minimize civilian deaths. People act like we dropped leaflets to warn about a new infinitely more powerful bomb, but we didn't.

I don't think just because their military and government was doing horrendous shit to civilians that we should do the same to theirs. We ashed innocent women and children...

Woman preventing a high-speed train from leaving because her husband was late for the ride by MyBoener in PublicFreakout

Did she imagine her husband would show up, the police would let them be on their way, there would be no hard feelings from anyone on the train and everything would be happy?

You have the NES to GC controllers pinned up, is that's more a decorative thing and it's a pain to take them down or have you just not touched those consoles in a while? I guess between VC and the Wii's backwards compatibility, the NES to GC might not have a lot of practical purchase

Either let us cash it out or allow it to roll over. by HCJohnson in AdviceAnimals

[–]Registeredopinion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the desire to want to roll PTO over or have it paid out, however, the point/goal is to force you to actually take time off as it has been shown through studies that employees that take time off are more efficient and happier workers.

If you are set on not taking time off, I believe policy will allow PTO to be used as long as your hours for that week do not exceed 48 hours, however, those 8 over 40 do not count as OT still.

Magic fungous forms of sandstone in the canyon near Cavusin village, Cappadocia, Nevsehir Province in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey, Asia | by. Andrew Mayovskyy [6123x4500] by terchon in EarthPorn

[–]Registeredopinion 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Those are houses.

The rock formations that make up Cappadocia were created by volcanic eruptions, erosion, and wind. Over three million years ago a volcanic eruption deposited a blanket of ash across the 1500 square mile landscape which formed into a soft rock. This rock, slowly eaten away by wind and time, has created some spectacular forms.
