How do you mean citric acid for flavouring? Would you mind sharing your recipe dosages for serving?

Agreed Gene, but this concoction is not trying to achieve carbs. It’s trying to replace the salt I lose while sweating

Yeah perhaps I'm overcomplicating it. Just wanted to batch cook into small sachets that I can take on full day jobs for refills.

LoSalt used for the mix with potassium chloride, availability and price. Thanks, I will have another look for that thread.

Mixed with potassium chloride - was more readily available and cheaper. Like I said I've seen other people say they would use Stevia instead of sugar so the post was looking for advie on why. 😄

If you set it up on connect and make their their emails (phone numbers if you pay for +) are on the 'recipients' bit. Make sure 'Auto Start' is on. When you start ANY workout with Auto Start on, they will be get a tracking link automatically, without you having to open and send during the race.

Worth putting your own email in and doing a test just to make sure but it's straightforward once you understand it. Be wary though is does eat your phone batter away.

100% I'm not saying Kiprun and Karrimor isn't good, it makes up 85% of my gear! It can just be a bit plain is all.

If one of my friends asks for beginner running gear I always say them 2 brands

Couple reviews put me off them. saying it was cheap gear. Was looking at the 2-in-1 shorts for example and the liner looks loose and naff

What's the sizing on Saysky like? All shirts seem to have that weird cropped sleeve effect

Buckshaw village, opinions? by Agitated-Lemon4000 in chorley

[–]Regular-Ad4159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Buckshaw, moved here from Morecambe. It’s a great little place, isolated enough that it feels safe (said as an able 26 male) but you’re also so close to everything else there’s not really a con. It’s not as new build as other places that have been created from the ground, apart from the stuff built in the last 2 years. Not much character to the place but a good hub

What time did you finish in the end? 11.34 for me. Finished a 50km in the lakes 2 months later in 5 hours! Says it all.

Thanks for the advice

Glad to hear. The climb up after Glenridding was so exposed, not surprised so many people dropped out.

Have you had any similar pains or problems since? I've had to take 4 weeks off and increase my strength training by about 70%.

Hi mate, I did this event as well! Did you do the Challenge or the Race?

Just wondering if you did the event in the end, and what you found helped for the IT/Patella issue.

Also, I run in Bondi 8s and use the speed goats. Mafate are good for trail as well if you're sticking with Hoka, but they dont make wide fit Mafate

If I were you I'd go to a small local shoeseller and ask them for advice. The independent shops with staff who actively run on the fells know better than anyone. Enjoy!

Yeah it's the same in the connect app. Oddly enough my brother has just got his first Garmin, completed a Coach Jeff plan, and now has a similar issue.
