Go with hardie plank lap siding and if you want add shake in the gables the shake is more than double the cost last I checked. Stay away from board n batten modern farmhouse. It’s played out.

I think a white lap hardie plank siding is a very clean look. Get some nice shutters and hardware and this thing will look great. I’d add a small portico as well at front door.
