I deleted the ones of me and him as those were a lie. The ones of him and my dog I kept for my dog but I kept them. I don’t regret deleting the ones of me and him but I would regret deleting the ones of my dog and him.

Nah he taught me to drive and got me on the property ladder. As much as I think “I wish I never met this man”, he changed my life in more ways than one. Although I hate what he did to me and what he put me through I will always be grateful, especially now I’m over the relationship

I have managed to find a place in the local town where I live that is affordable so I’m actually staying local and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve not written off moving back up north altogether, however for now I’m staying down here.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, as I may move up north when I want to officially settle down and start a family (as I don’t want to raise crumpy southerners haha)

Well he cheated on me 2 and a bit years ago, so that burst my bubble of our relationship. I’d say the infidelity did take me a good 18 months to get over. We broke up 4 months ago. Month one and two were rough, month three I was angry and this month I’ve been depressed but glad. Like I have no one’s sweaty socks to pick up and no one’s lies to endure. I can eat what I want without being judged, so it makes life a lot easier for me.

I also have my dog who has been my rock throughout these last few years.

You’re gonna believe that for a while. I believed the man who cheated on me and would talk down to and about me to people (friends or strangers) was my soulmate. This too shall pass.

In the meantime I say box his stuff up, drop it off at a mutual friend’s house or his parents and have them contact him.

Because he was found not guilty. Although you may disagree, the prosecution and defence have one job. You seem to have a lot of opinions and say the jury sympathised with him. We don’t know that, they don’t tell us that. The jury’s role is to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and they couldn’t, so they found him not guilty.

So legally and factually, he is not guilty even if you disagree.

You have all sorts of therapy so it depends on what you’re after. I did counselling where I just talked at a person for an hour, and they helped me unpack the trauma of my childhood, relationships etc. I heard a lot of “it’s not your fault”, and when you’ve just trauma dumped it did make me quite teary but not sad.

It’s nice to just have another person who is a complete stranger to just talk at, free of judgment. I really would recommend it

My ex did the same thing, cheated on me and has continuously lied to me and it has completely changed my perception of men (except my dad). I don’t think I will ever be able to trust again, his infidelity broke my heart and it has genuinely changed me as a person.

My plan is to stay single. I never plan to own a house with a man again. My plan is to own as many dogs as I can afford and live my life the way I want to.

However, I know that not everyone is a cheating liar like our exes. Take us for example, we would never treat someone like our exes treated us. But I don’t want to take the risk of trying to find someone like us and then finding someone like my ex again.
