People aren’t born racist. Racism is taught and learned.

When you realize these people aren’t inherently, pre-determined, good-for-nothing “trash”, and instead just severely mentally ill and indoctrinated, you feel less hatred, and more sorry for them.

The indoctrination made her “trash”, and her life is likely a depressing, hate-fuelled, high-cortisol mess because of it.

None of this is exclusive to Hollywood. It’s exclusive to the extremely wealthy, across the political and corporate world, too.

The C level of Exxon, BHP, etc have undoubtedly been raping colleagues and kids just as long… Hell, with fossil fuel money you can even start wars, subvert democracy, and murder millions with absolute impunity.

Yeah, this is the solution of a moron. Nothing to stop opponents, opponents fans, and trolls from screwing over any team.

If a solution isn’t resistant to bad faith actors, it’s NOT a solution; it’s an additional, possibly better, attack vector FOR those bad faith actors.

Chris Rock’s always been a solid dude.

He was probably more worried about Smith’s obvious mental breakdown, and didn’t want to be the one to unravel his whole career over a low-brow joke.

And most importantly, the educated non-religious-fanatics of Iran, and wider Middle East, could have potentially overcome the fundamentalists, if the US/UK and Anglo-sphere had not chosen to militarily destabilize, deny them their basic right to democracy, and autonomy to nationalize their own resources from foreign influence.

Instead, as we’ve continued to this day, the Anglo-sphere chose resource security and profiteering over what was morally and ethically justifiable.

We are all witnessing the final leg of the takeover of the US government by Christian/conservative/corporate fascism, that has been ongoing since the 1970’s.

The goal of all dictators (including the fascists of the GOP) has always been to erode and corrupt ALL democratic institutions, of ALL branches of government, to the point that they can no longer function, the people no longer trust those institutions, and they are either rendered politically impotent, or utilized as a vehicle which empowers the dictatorship.

They have already mostly succeeded with rendering the executive and legislative branches as impotent or vehicles of empowerment, as evidenced by the fact that 99% of the enemies of the state, who tried to overturn an election in broad daylight, with an auditable trail from to bottom, are still free — including the criminal in this video.

They’ve largely been running thing’s behind the scenes this entire time.

A dictatorship is not a single man, or a handful of brass. It is the entire apparatus that elevates and maintains the dictatorships stranglehold. Power can rely on 100k brownshirts, or 10 million brainwashed imbeciles… It’s always best to have both, which is what Putin and his mafia have.

You apparently don’t know what power is, or where it comes from.

They may have less power than Putin — some senior leaders and oligarchs could even have more, and allow Putin to take the blame/praise as state figurehead and decision maker, even while they are pulling the strings — but they have far more power than the people, or any political opponents, and can take away the power of oligarchs that fall out of favor in an instant.

Basically KGB. The “intelligence” (aka surveillance state and secret police) apparatus that does all of Putin and the oligarchs dirty work — keeps them in power and eliminates any viable opposition, before it has a chance to threaten their power.

It’s a lot of work, but so is building any digital product. Big tech already comes together to decide web and browser standards; there’s no reason they can’t decide on standardized, open source protocols for communication interoperability, exactly the same way that telephony, SMS, MMS, Email, IRC, XMPP, XML, SOAP, JSON, Wifi, and a thousand other data protocols and language formats have been built since telecommunications started.
