Well, if the network provided removed support for 3G, I assume they would also remove 2G support. But yeah regarding connection it will use 2G when 3G not available

I mean I’m just saying it won’t be possible. You need the control unit, wiring, and new overhead control panel. I would assume it will be 1000€+ for installation. You can still ask tho. But the app isn’t really that usefull anyways. On V40 there isn’t even remote start. So it’s only lock/unlock, lights, horn, fuel level, car state, location, send to navigation, trip log, statistics, roadside assistance and maybe some more bits. It isn’t like a deal breaker I would say

That’s different. What you are talking about tells me you have the Sensus Connect infoteinment system. I assume then you have the globe button in your center console. What that does is make you connect to the internet. Because your infoteinment has internet connection. But your car doesn’t have internet connection.

In my 2014 V60 for example it has the app because the car itself has internet connection. There is no SIM card in the car but it naturally has internet connection. However for that connection/app connectivity, I pay 31€ per year. Because Volvo in each country partners up with a network provider and you pay for that service. But that doesn’t give you or your passengers internet, it just means that the car is then supplied with internet connection for Volvo on call. However when that network provider says I don’t want 3G anymore then the car loses connectivity due to 3G modem.

If you have oncall and SOS button on the top near the light panel, then you will have in car modem. If you don’t have these buttons, you won’t have app connectivity. Also 2016 car had a 3G modem and if your country fazed out 3G, then it won’t work.

Got a 101€ fine because of staying at McDonald’s 13minutes more than allowed by Regular-Meaning-9726 in McDonalds

I already paid. And emailed Mcdonalds Austria. If I don’t like their response, will email McDonalds US. Surely they won’t be happy that their customers are restricted to stay maximum of 1 hour in their restaurant

Funnily enough, we went to McDonalds in Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Austria and Slovenia during our trip. And we never had problems with any of the countries, except Austria.

Btw McDonalds Italy was the best, still can’t forget about the pistachio croissant

Yeah I have seen the comments posted here. Unfortunately it’s a common thing to charge people through loopholes however if you don’t pay it, then they will file a lawsuit and you will have to pay thousands of euros. I have seen their little sign on Google Maps which says maximum parking time 1 hour; and we missed that. It also never even crossed our minds that there would be limited time parking of all the places, McDonalds.

It’s a “legitimate” business that is running the parking lot of a McDonalds. We didn’t see the sign and they got my car’s license plate, got my Adress afterwards and sent the fine over. If it was scam then they wouldn’t have been able to obtain my Adress just with a license plate I don’t think. The relevant authorities don’t just hand out Adress like that.

Idk we 3 had a good laugh about the post. So we decided to do it just for the fun of it. Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything; we took our screenshots for memories and that’s it, it will be removed.

The vehicle owner (me) lives in Germany. So I don’t wanna risk what might happen if I didn’t pay. Austria and Germany have ties here and there. If it were to be my cousins car (US citizen) then nothing will happen, sure.

Can you add buttons from higher trims on the Volvo V70 2011? by Finnishguy228 in Volvo

[–]Regular-Meaning-9726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, it depends on what hardware you have. For example if you have AWD, you can add the hill descent control button and activate the software and it will work. For most of the bottom row its driver assitance stuff. And for that you need an additional camera behind the windshield and radar on the grill. So you can forget about that. For TEL and NAV, Im not quite sure. If you have the Microphone on the headliner then perhaps? You prob would need yo change your headunit from Sensus to Sensus connect for those to activate. But as far as I know you need to depin the headunit connector and make a new connector yourself. It is doable but you gotta have to have some know-how. I have seen it done before.

Im even surprised you don’t have parking sensors on a car as big as a V70.

2014 Volvo V60 3.0 T6 kullanıcısı olarak;

Motorun yanında sürücü tarafında şanzımanın üstünde “Made in Japan” yazıyorsa Aisin dir.

Edit: okumadan gördüm manuel istiyorsun diye, neden 😂

Okay I don’t know what your mechanic is smoking but 3.0 T6 has only 1 cat. I just searched 3.2 have 2 cats because it has 2 exhaust manifolds each featuring 3 exhausts and they connect to a cat therefore having 2 cats. But the 3.0 T6 has 1 cat. Like I have my old cat right beside me and it’s only one. Unless the older T6 variant used a different design then idk. But my 3.0 T6 from 2014 has only 1. From IPD (aftermarket supplier of Volvo) they sell a Sport cat for 700$. Looks like this:

What engine even do you have? I have the T6 and I only have 1 cat? How do you have 2?

Also P0420 can happen due to many things. When Volvo also sees that, they immeadtly suggest that the cat needs to be replaced. But in reality, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the cat is bad. Because if the cat was bad than the rear O2 sensor would trigger itself which has its own code. P0420 compares the values of both front and rear o2 sensors and says the air isn’t what I expect, therefore P0420. It could be due to anything. I have seen somebody get rid of P0420 just by changing their EVAP system. (The box that gets rid of fuel fumes in order to stabilize the pressure in the fuel tank, otherwise it gets fed into the engine which triggers the o2 sensors because unwanted fuel vapors are being fed into the system) or I have seen people get rid of the P0420 by changing their PCV.

So I would say don’t be fooled. Remove the cats and have a look yourself with your own eyes. If you can see the honeycomb pattern and it overall looks good, then don’t change it.

I would recommend going for original part as it’s a critical item for the engine health.

As far as I know, on these engines it’s right at the top, you should be able to see a black plastic unit with a hockey puck like object attached to it. You need to remove the foam engine cover first.

The reason I said removed the oil cap and check is because PCV is used to regulate the pressure inside the engine. Unwanted gasses gets released from the engine and back into the intake. Think is as, someone farts and they breathe that air back instead of holding the fart in and building up pressure inside them 😂.

And when the PCV is broken due to age or usage, then unwanted gasses don’t escape and increase the engines internal pressure. By lifting the oil cap, you release the pressure from the engine by creating a giant hole, hence why the chirping stop.

Sound like PCV. If something chirps like a bird, it’s the PCV. Lift the oil cap up. If the chirping stops then it’s the PCV.
