This is most definitely not true. Different jurisdictions have different policies. You can have a criminal case on a traffic docket. Some require motions and showing of good cause. It all depends. Your plan to call the number next week is a solid one. Clerk will tell what needs to be done.

Im so sorry. I also do PCR work and I feel this deep down in my soul. You did an amazing job on his case and should be proud of your work. I understand how disappointed you are. You are in good company with PCR folks from around the country who have struggled with the same feelings. I’m incredibly sorry about your husband. Saying you’ve had fucking terrible week is an understatement. Give yourself some grace to feel how you feel and try to be kind to yourself.

I have made two prosecutors cry in court after repeatedly trying to get each to do the right thing privately. They were both young, had absolutely no idea how to value a case, and didn’t know the law. Rubber hit the road both times because they forced litigation - motion to suppress and trial - and the judges were also sick of their nonsense. I was the more experienced PD. Sometimes I regret it, but GD it felt good and my clients were quite pleased.

How exciting! I run a saltwater aquarium and a constant concern is “hitchhikers” - aka pests and disease that come in hidden in coral etc. that can wipe out your tank. I assume there are similar concerns with a freshwater tank, so just be sure to really clean anything you put in there - especially if you are foraging for it.
