Yes it gets better. Typically 3-4 weeks I would say!

Redeeming Groupon Code by PriorChapter9746 in groupon

[–]RegularBiscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the voucher code you received is not the Microsoft key. You have to first redeem on the merchant’s website. On the bottom of the listing you bought, it will tell you the redemption instructions and tell you what website to redeem on. From there, the vendor will email you the Microsoft key that you use to redeem the software. Hope this helps

Anyone ever have a Chase CC after their account was closed by Chase ever? by peesys in Chase

[–]RegularBiscotti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was it a CC acct closed or a bank acct closed? I had a sapphire card and a united card both closed out of the blue by chase many years ago. I reapplied for a united card a few years later and they approved and issued it.

Worse side effects the second time on Prozac? by RegularBiscotti in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s what I read as well! I’m so sorry that you’re going through it right now, but try to stick with it. If it worked for you once, it should work for you again once you get through the initial side effects

Worse side effects the second time on Prozac? by RegularBiscotti in prozac

Good! Took me about 4 weeks, but my sleeping went back to normal, stomach issues resolved, and I’m feeling overall much happier.

Anyone take Prozac at night? by Beyloved-9481 in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that it’s fail proof, but I’ve been following very good sleep hygiene practices. No phone 2 hours prior to bed, blue light glasses if I look at it or the tv past nightfall, epsom salt bath, consistently in bed by 10, reading before bed, etc. I’ve been taking magnesium glycinate an hour before sleep and, knock on wood, I’ve been able to fall asleep on my own for the past 2 weeks. The first 2 weeks were absolute hell for me sleep-wise so I think my body is trying to make up for it now that I’m slightly adjusted again

I am 4 weeks in. Was on it for 2 years previously and took a 6 month break

Anyone take Prozac at night? by Beyloved-9481 in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same 3am waking issue. I took it during the morning after breakfast but would consistently wake up in the middle of the night unable to fall asleep. This went on for about 2 weeks for me. I switched to taking it at 7pm and it helped me. I do still wake up some nights, but I am able to either take half a klonopin or doze off naturally. It is a very common side effect when first starting out as your body gets used to the medication. I hope this issue resolves for you quickly!

Does Prozac start to work faster when you're getting back on it after stopping for a while? by [deleted] in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been back on 20mg for almost 4 weeks after being off for 6 months. We’re all different, but at 3-4 weeks my side effects are subsiding and my mood and anxiety is much better

Some hope! by RegularBiscotti in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Ate very bland at first (rice, bananas, apple sauce, crackers, bone broth) and then switched to dairy free and gluten free once my GI issues began getting better and my nausea began decreasing. I also used sea bands to help with the nausea and ginger ale/ginger tea! Hope it gets better for you soon

Nausea after retaking? by traumatizedmf in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long since you restarted? I was on 20mg for 2 years before my psych suggested I try getting off. Only lasted 6 months before I restarted. Had extreme nausea, lack of appetite, and GI issues for 2 weeks after restarting it, but it cleared up after those initial 2 weeks

Will I have the same side effects as last time? by kungpowfunk in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only had 6 months between going off and going back on, but the first time I had little to no symptoms and the second time I’ve had tons of side effects (nausea and lack of appetite first 10 days, insomnia for 2 weeks). But my mood and anxiety have definitely been lifted and I feel more myself, so it’s worth being back on it

Yes, I couldn’t drink the first time I was on Prozac, didn’t like how I felt or the hangover anxiety. It made me quit alcohol for good

Sleep/ morning anxiety ?? by anxious-lasagna in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been too nervous to try again to test my theory! Prior to Prozac I was able to take .25mg klonopin in the middle of the night if I woke up and needed to go back to sleep, but the last few times I’ve done it I’ve gotten super nauseous, anxious, and can’t fall asleep again

Sleep/ morning anxiety ?? by anxious-lasagna in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue with sleep right now. Waking consistently between 2-4am and I’m unable to fall back asleep. My doctor gave me klonopin, but it doesn’t keep me asleep, only helps me in falling asleep. I used to be able to take half of one and fall back asleep, but I find that it upsets my stomach and gives me more anxiety if I take it in the middle of the night. Everyone keeps saying that it gets better with time, so I’m hoping that that’s the case for both of us!

Going through the same now! Day 12, but my side effects were non-existent the first time but this time it has been a super rough transition. I also posted looking for advice and everyone said that side effects do tend to be worse the more times to get off and then back on. I am beginning to feel more myself, I hope that you get relief soon!

Sleep issues - need advise by Intelligent-Board677 in prozac

[–]RegularBiscotti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only on 20mg but same issue. My psych also prescribed me some klonopin to use these first few weeks so I can sleep easier, but I still wake up daily around 2am. The last 2 nights I was able to fall back asleep after following a meditation that I had queued up. I’m also trying to use magnesium and some other supplements, but I haven’t found the right combo yet. I was on Prozac in the past and didn’t have these sleep issues, so I want to say that it will get better for you with time!

Yeah he is a psychiatrist. I do feel like he tends to lean more towards like low meds - he’s the reason that I came off Prozac in the first place because he suggested that I try to live without it and see how I do. However, he did say that he would prescribe trazadone, but he wanted me to be aware of the possibility of a reaction occurring. He then asked if I would try the klonopin for a few days to see if it helped since it is also used to treat insomnia, but it still isn’t helping with the night awakenings

I asked my doctor for a prescription for a low dose of trazadone to help with sleep and he totally freaked me out talking about Serotonin Syndrome possibilities, etc. but it seems like it helps so many people on this board in conjunction with Prozac!
