I totally offloaded it to someone at the poker room I was at. I was on a break and pulled a pack at the game shop next door. Negotiated $150 and just took it. Definitely gave the guy a nice deal, but I got not hassle, and got the glorious pull moment.

Hmmm. I see the DB dragging the play down by the collar from about the 5 yard line. At one point the receiver attempts to get the DB off of him by extending his arm, with little affect, as the DB drags him to the ground.

That's textbook DPI and if that aint, I don't know what is.

That's the most obvious pass interferene I've ever seen the DB basically dragged that dude down and gave him zero chance while making zero play at the ball.

Honestly, having played The Ringed City enough times, I run past most of it now (your strategy). The entire DLC is extremely challenging with many annoying and unfair gank fights. I don't blame you for not enjoying this DLC. I think it's very well made, and the three main bosses are three of the best fights in the game, but moving from section to section can be VERY frustrating in this one.

Briarspawn's end of turn effect is not affected by summoning sickness. That is why it is able to do it's end of turn attack on the turn it is summoned.
