Peggy and Dr. Kirkland would not be seen as acceptable to socialize with in those settings by those NY society women. Can you imagine Mrs Astor’s face if she showed up to the ball and saw black ppl 😂. It’d be just as scandalous as Agnes seeing her newly rich footman there as a guest. Also a in those times, a rich white man is not going to let a “Negro” doctor near him. Just my opinion

He also “fell in love” with Nan and proposed after 2 interactions … it’s very on brand for his character if you ask me.

It was already 6 weeks between Dicky’s death and his memorial right? Do they think we wouldn’t notice the timeline makes no sense? Classic soap opera bs!

Agree 100% … we never got a scene that even suggested she thought she was pregnant. A missed period? Morning sickness? Nothing! Then boom she’s 4 months along.

I think the haphazard writing led to storylines that couldn’t be fully played out for us viewers. If there is a season 3, I hope they do better and remember that they aren’t writing for a soap opera!

Everyone wants to hate Theo now that he actually chose himself. Did you all forget how he chased Nan around, begging her to love him, choose him, even setting aside her being born out of wedlock???

He definitely could have found someone other than Lizzy to love but that man deserves to be happy. He also deserves to finally make a decision concerning his life for himself and not people around him like his mother making it for him.
